Join a multiplayer server, when you are in NATIVE mode.
Then re-open cRPG.

Okay that was a failure I loaded native attempted to join NA 1 changed module and than was kicked for not owning the character.

Join a native server while you are at native mod.
Then open c-rpg like normal.

I'm not having any luck anyone got an official fix?
I shouldn't have to do it for every character should I?
Thanks

Have you changed your cd key? If not, check your registry and reenter the warband key. Under software/warband key. Coild be corrupted. I had that error before. If this is not working ask the admins to recover your chars.
-
The Warband CD key must match your character. That means if you're trying to access a character on the CD key that is not connected to it, you'll get the message you're getting.

^My characters are still existent and can be seen on the website
I bought the game of steam and have 2 cd keys on this computer and one on the other. As far as I know the key is linked to my steam account as I dont have two copies of the game on my desktop.
It all started when I tried to access cRPG from my other steam account on my other accounts characters.
I might ask the devs on this one.
Should I really have to re-install cRPG??

If you got the game installed by steam, you cannot simply change the cd key in the registry. By starting the game with steam, steam always changes it back to the steam key.
That means, if you uninstall warband on steam and use a normal .exe (download at taleworlds page), you can change the cd key in the registry any time.
If you install warband with a steam account, only the steam cd key on that account for the game will work.
So you must either install the game with the steam account logged in when you played your character with that steam account before or you take a non-steam .exe .
