Why give MW Bolts and Arrows aditional ammo, but throwing weapons dont? They have the same upkeep and are less effective on range! Makes no sense!
Also, the weight of those axes is a bit too high imo.
Buff throwing!

Is this your counter measure to the buff archer/crossbowman threads that have arisen lately?
Well, good luck with it anyway, with the dev support we have had lately, I expect this to be in by December 2009

Some more ammo for upgraded throwing makes sense. It was the only reason people loomed throwing lances (well for real use and not for just lulz).

Just saying. Instead of creating another "nerf archers" thread we should try and discuss how to make other classes more attractive. Because at the moment theres just too many archers. Buffing throwers could decrease the ammount of archers-without nerfing that class to death.

Throwing just needs better projectile speed and maybe 1 or 2 more ammo an that's it.
Atm Jarids an War darts are the only viable throwing weapons against aware opponents.
The other ones are so incredibly slow that even a guy in a wheelchair can dodge them :lol:

In my opinion its just logic that throwers should have more damage than archers, due to less ammo and shorter range.
I am no thrower but I feel bullied :(

Whilst throwing is the least useful of the ranged classes, back when it was more powerful, it more or less ruined the game as every single fucker had a throwing secondary or a throwing alt. Id say buff projectile speed like Tzar says but no buff for the ammo.

please dont drag throwing into constant buffing and nerfing, im happy with it just as it is, I might not kill much but it sure is fun and if your willing to go full throwtard its not as bad as it seems

Im dedicated throwing heavy axes. And its just fine. Except one thing. Archers and xbowers are ranged. They get more max ammo. WHY should the third ranged class be disadvantaged?
And your point with the Sidearm throwers is bullshit imo since using a crossbow as sidearm was no reason after all to nerf crossbows!
I dont say give throwers more dmg and range and missilespeed (wich btw is just fine). I just think throwing needs some adjustments due to latest events (archerspam) nd balance.

I just wish that the WPF requirements were lessened or removed and that instead the benefits of WPF were applies on a non-linear curve, so that lower WPF got less and higher WPF got more. That balances between hybrids and pure throwers, and gives a modest boost to the people who do the most throwing.
I don't generally have a problem with ammo although damage is a bit low (often don't one shot players in cloth with a throwing lance plus 10 PT).

I have a shield, i love archers. Friendly throwers only fuck me in my ass as they try to kill the archer i am going after.

I can say that in my experience throwing is fine in siege. I can just respawn to get more ammo and there are many easy targets. But in battle I'm not sure I would even hit once with 8 throwing spears. That is probably more like a playstyle issue though, as I tend not to spare much ammo.

thrower ammo & dmg is just fine. Some of the spear types need some speed buff, ridiculous it takes so long to pull back a hurl a straight piece of wood with pointy end
