I was thinking that there should be some sort of small reward for surviving until the end of a round. I am aware of valour, but maybe a minor variation of that if you simply fought and managed to make it to the end, but not if you sat in the back and hid in the corner.

No.
It will simply lead to more people hiding or contributing as little as possible so as to avoid the risk of dying as much as possible.
However, I wouldn't mind a decreased repair chance for survivors in the winning team. But then again, if one team gets steamrolled we have a lot of guys avoiding repairs and the gold sinks are effectively being coutermeasured or at least affected.

No. x-bonus is enough reward for a won round and surviving doesn`t show shit about ur skill except of that
it shows who`s a kd-whoring coward and who just wants his team to win.

I know sometimes it feels like a great accomplishment to survive a round after being in 5 skirmishes and barely coming out alive, but it's all about winning the round. Whether you live or die, your contribution matters to what happens at the end of the round. If your team wins, feel proud in what you did to help, as well as your multiplier going up 1.
