Title: Prosperity Broken?
Post by: Lt_Anders on October 15, 2012, 05:28:19 pm
Isn't prosperity the amount of S&D you gain per day? If so, at 400 prosperity you should regain nearly 20 per hour, but you only get between 10-14 per hour.

Excel spreadsheet and i found that according to the S/D numbers from the FAQ, the TRANSACTIONS are a LINEAR interpolation and S/D generates properly off that.

It works properly, but it's counter intuitive.

The way i understand it is that b4 you divide the hourly gain from prosperity you take into account the regeneration based on goods price

So at 15g goods price its 1:1 ratio or equal to the prosperity/24

At 25g goods price its 1:4 ratio or 1/4 the prosperity/24

At 5g goods price its 4:1 ratio or 4x the properity/24

This could be complete blasphemy but it is certainly a similar model to this

Edit: damn u anders all that work for nothing

You got the idea, but it's off. The S/D forumla is like this.

Y=mx+b.
THE M of this line is +.1 for everything below 15 and -.05 for everything over 15.

At a price of 20, you get .75 regen of prosperity per day. At 15, you get Prosperity regen as shown, per day. At 5, you get 2 times prosperity shown regen per day.

Example:
Prosperity is 200
At 5g per good, you gain 400 S/D per day
At 7g, you gain360 S/D per day
15, you get 200
20 you get 150
25 you get 100

Use that chart.

Take the value on the S/D recovery side and MULTIPLY it by your prosperity for the DAILY S/D change.
