Title: How many loom points do you have?

Hey, just a discussion based on curiosity...
I'm curious to see how many loom points you guys have. Now they don't have to be in the form of individual loom points, (say if you have a +3 SoW, that's 3 loom points.)

So list how many loom points you guys have and what generation you are. :]

48 gens worth of +3s
2 gens worth of +2s
2 gens worth of +1s
1 loompoint
about 600k worth of gold distributed through all my characters and clan bank, so I guess that's counts as a loompoint and 1/3 to 1/2? lol

That comes out to around 54 gens worth of looms. Also, my main is gen 13.

17 points, retired 11 times with main and 2 with alts. I don't think that I've got any points by beneficial trades, but bought the extra points with gold I've made. Oh and got 2 for free.

Gen 12, more or less 12 loom points out of which I only use 6 as heirloomed items. The others I trade with and sink most of the profits into upkeep, charity, sponsoring, bitches and silly "I dare you" posts on this forum. But it's okay I'm still getting more money than what I can spend. I also made a couple of very bad trades in the past when I started to sell the things I heirloomed myself, not knowing how much they were worth. Most of the heirloomed stuff in this game is overrated. It's only useful when it starts being the fastest way to improve your character, when you are already level 35 or something.

Remember, a +3 item is not worth as much as 3 loom points.
For many items it's closer to 2 loom points. A loom point is worth 500.000 gold.

Anyway, I got gold and items worth around 14 million.
Counting all +3 items as 2,5 loom points.

Let's see.

If I buy loompoints that would be 150/5=30 loompoints + 4 items which is 12 loompoints and that's 42 loompoints total.

But if I buy items for let's say 1.1 mil average price that would be 15/1.1=13 items plus those 4 i own already, 17 items in total or 51 loompoint. Still less than few people in this thread.

Since quite a few players have more than 50 gens worth of loompoint and they aren't even near that actually, I wonder how many poor souls were ripped off by "us". I'm not proud to be honest.

half my gens/hierlooms are from when you retired at level 16 or whatever it was. also some points from alts & friend gave me some. Ive mostly lost money from trading because i'm an impatient bastard.

Imho the only items that are worth having is body glove / Ranged weaponry and horses maybe shields.. if we are talking bout the plate shields

Besides that i think Looms are overated.

5 Retires, 9 loompoints.
And I don't trade on the market place or play much

Main - gen 2 level 32,  6 loompoints    -    Mw bow + arrows.
Alt - gen 4 level 31, 3 loompoints        -    The only loom I grinded and made. +3 stones over 1.5 years ago. currently sitting in Chaos Armory.
Alt - Gen 2  STF, No loompoints.          -     Had a +1 shortbow on this from 2 years ago for a gimmick. Sold it for gold.

I play in peasant/light armor almost always = dat gold
So, 5 retires, 9 loompoints. I sold two for gold, bought 6 with gold.
I've only retired twice under the grind-up-to-31 system. The rest are from ancient times.

That means:

a) plenty of people got jewed (probably unknown casual players), which might be the cause of slow or nonexistent growth of this community
b) upkeep isn't working at all.

a) Stop being so sensationalist.

b) How should upkeep affect me running around with peasant clothes and a quarter staff?

c) People probably find you equating Jewishness with cheating much more offensive than the market situation.

d) There's community rules for scamming. You get your items/gold back if you just made a typo in the market.

Those that want something, pay the price. That's the way it is, unless you want something other than a free market.

4 mw and 1 +1 item,gen 14. I would have at least 2 loompoints more but i made a realy bad trades in biggining,so i lost a lot of gold.

I'm gen 12 and have 10 loom points into items.

After my 1st gen I sold my loompoint for money, and bought a +1 courser for less.
after 2nd gen sold my loompoint and bought a +1 heavy lance for less money.
3rd and 4th gen I made my courser to +3
5th gen I sold my +1 heavy lance and loompoint and then bought a +2 heavy lance (making a little money out of it)
6th gen I made my heavy lance +3
Had +3 courser and +3 heavy lance at this point
7th gen I sold my loom and bought a +1 broad one handed battle axe
8th gen I sold the loompoint for money
After 9th gen I sold the loompoint and the +1 broad one handed battle axe, and then bought a +3 heraldic mail with surcoat
At this point I had +3 heavy lance, +3 courser and +3 heraldic mail with surcoat and didn't plan on retiring again
Fucked up my level 33 build on my 10th gen, so at level 32 I retired and got one more loom point (lost a loom point and a gen bonus doing this)
After my 10th gen I sold my loompoint for money and bought +1 Wisby Gauntlets
Retired after my 11th gen and sold my loompoint for money.

So now I'm not retiring again at gen 12, and have +3 courser, +3 heavy lance, +3 heraldic mail with surcoat, and +1 wisby gauntlets.  This whole time I've only borrowed 50k, and have been able to support being cavalry lancer with my normal medium/heavy gear throughout every gen but my 1st.

Had 12, then TurmoilTom scammed me and I never got anything back allthough he probably should have been banned for this shit and now I only got +3 Arbalest, Steel Bolts and Gauntlets but my Light Kuyak is gone.

My main is gen 13 and has 205mil XP atm. Eight of those 13 gens I've spent in peasant or really cheap clothes. At least 60 mil XP on my way to level 35 I've spent in peasant clothes as well.

Also, I have gen 10 alt, 8 full gens using cheap gear.

And you don't use truly cheap gear cause I remember you and your friend. Ninja scum :P

the regular ninja armor  upkeep is around 1.4k, for me atleast, and I use lamellar gauntlets.. Crazy money making. I just have a spending problem, my first 2 looms ive sold and crutched armor/bought armor with the 1m gold it gave me  :lol: i think alot of people sold their loom and started armor crutching, thats how they got in the negative with gen/lp :)

He's main is 7 gen (one was 34 lvl) and 1 gen alt.
He's got 28 MWs or....84 loom points.

I know cause he borrows me some sometimes :D
