I mean, those computer literate enough to go see what a mac is should know about IE. This has probably changed since the 2000's though.
....you would be suprised my friend, like really. Many people really dont know jack about PCs, yet somehow they buy topnotch systems for some reason while paying for 100MB internet, althou they only use wifi. I can name about 8 people I know who would be willing to pay like 20€ just to get some person to update their anti-virus.

for instance at my work we have several web based applications which are optimised ONLY for IE...man, that crap is really crap...

Not really surprising, ppl pay to have the brake pads and whiper blades changed on their car...

Actually, I am trying Windows 8 (developing a program) and It runs with IE 10. I must admit there has been a significant jump in performance, in comparison to the Chrome and Firefox counterparts out there.
