Title: Add Helm's Deep siege map to (EU?) servers maps rotation
Post by: Izual on October 05, 2012, 04:15:51 pm
Fellow gentlemen, I had some small idea today while reading a topic here about Helm's Deep. Why not adding the Helm's Deep map to siege servers of cRPG?

I installed the LoTR mod for Mount&Blade 1 the other day and played it, and there's this wonderful moment when you step into a peaceful Helm's Deep, at dawn or even at dusk, and patrol on its main wall and its gate. That was great.

Someone said NA servers had it in siege map cycle for a while, and it was quite balanced.

Furthermore, I'm not really a LoTR fan, but I think the map is kinda good looking and new things are always nice to test. If it sucks, it can be removed.

Who's with me? (If nobody is, let this thread dive into the abyss!)

The map was on native servers rotation, not NA :P
There it was balanced due to the 5 life max, ofc with timelimit it might be done as well.

Is has a sidedoor, main gate, a ladder to the gatehouse a small gate to the inner wall and depending on which version of the map you take it has a flag inside the keep or in the middle of the inner walls

That's the topic I mentioned in my first post, yes :D
Thanks for the link.

(Edit to your edit: ) That actually sounds good. If the map is too unbalanced though, it could be tweaked.
