Title: Strategus Mercenary Hiring Recommendation

With the Strategus update coming soon (hopefully) I would like to make a recommendation to the hiring process of Mercenaries on the battlefield to make it more dynamic and interesting for both experienced and new players. My recommendation also includes the idea that your heirloomed items will be usable in Strategus (free or not) and would make Mercenary Selection even more interesting.

My Idea is:

Mercenary Profiles,

Essentially on your character screen you will be able to set up your mercenary profile, what that includes is your level and build, a list of your heirloomed items, and a notes section for the player to fill out about themselves or anything important they want to write in there. Also in your mercenary profile you can set your Gold Rates for fighting so that you can set what your willing to fight for.

Next when you are logged onto your CRPG character page you can set yourself to "Active" and would be dropped into a mercenary bank of available fighters to choose from for Generals looking for Mercenaries to fill their ranks. Generals will be able to view a players mercenary profile as well as see their asking price for service. Communication between generals and mercenaries can be done on the forum or even have a feature implemented where if the player is in game they will receive a notification that they have been summoned for battle in a campaign.

I know that chadz has big plans for Strategus, and I would really like to see something like this in effect with the system to make it easy for new players to participate, and a better system for mercenaries and generals to communicate.

Also, the addition of blacklisting and a burn notice board would be nice. Obviously, only clan leaders can post in this section (in case of people being stupid).

Post by: Konrax on April 15, 2011, 04:12:59 pm: Maybe add a loyalty rating, or performance rating with feedback spot also to the profile that Generals can use directly onto that specific players profile. That way their deeds are shown directly at the location of their hiring.

Worst matches were those in early morning where you hired 60 people only to have 15 show up and then you get destroyed by the clan who has all its members show up.

Currently anyone can make a clan anytime for free. It should cost 1000 Gold or something.
