My. God. Man.  There are advantages to being able to hurt people before they are within range to hurt you?  What a novel fucking idea.  I'm sure it took humans 1000's of years to figure it out.  Or as long as it took for someone to pick up a rock.

Find out what happens when you close the gap in heavy armor and a shield.  I'll give you a hint, whether they run away or stand and fight, they are no longer being effective as archers.

Not only do you ruin a a scene of a good film, it also poorly displays the "2-handers" disposition.

I saw shielders, everywhere. This leads me to believe that the losing team either had shitty shielder builds or just dumb.

So what your weakness is archery? You sacrifice the extra protection for more damage, it's a fair trade off in my mind. Archery trades melee for range, shielders trade off raw damage for protection. Polearms are just fucking nuts, I don't see any problems here.
