Did you know KUTT was about to attack sungetche castle? Did you know KUTT gave up alders (Who was asking to be protected), to attack him for his crates? Did you know KUTT made a deal with me to take over both FPF fiefs, until he made a deal with arys to fuck me over? Did you know KUTT was ready to completely invade the south? LOL fuck you strat nerds. I tried playing this shit, but you guys are some cut throat serious nerd motherfukers. so fuck it. Let everyone know.

Wow, I guess it's bound to happen sometimes when the FPF is so friendly and tries to help new or independent people.  Some of them turn out to be real nut cases.

I never even heard of this guy until he voted himself a fief in the steppes and then promptly joined FPF.  He got all bent out of shape when someone wanted that fief and he wasn't able to hold it.  I don't know all the details but for some reason someone was nice to him and GAVE him a fief of his own and he didn't want to manage it so he let someone else be the owner for him.  Then he flips out and attacks the very fief he was given.  Go figure.

It's probably too late to save face now Joey, so by all means keep posting stuff like this and dig your grave even deeper.

Thanks guys. KUTT has FPF's back, Joey went against them and we stand by Arys and these guys. KUTT also is not pursuing their claims in the snow nor do we have interest (as stated nearly 3 weeks ago) in expanding beyond the snow--with the exception to Sumbuja and Reyvadin, those were gifts!

Strategus is a lot about diplomacy.  We've talked to many factions and thrown around many scenarios.  It doesn't mean that when scenario is discussed about a mutual enemy or what we could potentially do, that it's an actual threat of war.  It's just diplomats talking about what-if's and possibilities for the future.

For the record Joey, I tried to suggest Arys give you Shulus since we technically traded FPF your fief (Dusturil) for Shulus.


Kutt has certain goals surrounding land claims, and they have been working feverishly through diplomacy to attain those goals.  I fail to see anything wrong with that, and think that they should be commended for going to the diplomacy table with whoever they can to benefit their faction.  That's how diplomacy works (if you're doing it right).

I think you must have taken something out of context.  I have no doubts that KUTT would have been talking about attacking Hospitallers if we couldn't come to an agreement over Yruma castle.  We even threw around the idea of attacking KUTT and finding a mutual war against them with BRD.  Again, that doesn't mean we ever were threatening war against KUTT, it was diplomats talking about possible future scenarios.  And if you don't discuss and have a plan for those "what-if's" not only are you a terrible diplomat, but you're setting your faction up for failure.

Diplomacy is dangerous though... if you do too good a job of making alliances in order to achieve everything with minimal risk, then you have successfully robbed yourself of all possible challenge (and fun). Take a look at DRZ in strat 3. They accomplished everything they set out to accomplish with alliances, treaties and the use of proxies to weaken/destroy their enemies, leaving very little for DRZ themselves to do beside throwing armies around for the hell of it.

And I agree with you there Matey.  I don't want to see this turn into the diplomacy trading game, and I do not think that will be the case here. 

But at the same time, there can be back stabbing and multi-faction diplomacy deals.  At the end of the day we want to fight large battles, that's why people play strategus.  Even though I really like the diplomacy aspect of it, we all want to fight in large battles every day if possible. 

I've made a suggestion which I hope goes through, the only way to to merc for a faction is to either be part of the faction, or set your faction status towards them as allies or mercs.  And the larger a group alliance is, the more corruption or tax inefficiency your fiefs would have.  I think that would be a good system to combat alliances becoming too large.  I think some other reason for people to fight over fiefs would be good as well.
