Post by: isatis on September 27, 2012, 11:33:25 pm
Simple idea in one simple dot :

Simple! (by people who does something for this mod I mean like Final_Boss, every map maker and all the awesome guy who code, or post guide or do a lot of useful thing!)

it will still money sink, but a part of this tax would help you dev!!

It`s intended to introduce a gold sink, not to give the gold in other`s hands.

I know! but admit you would feel better paying that fee knowing that say 1% was used to remunarate virtually people who invest time in this game!

wow that text is annoying.

also if only some small portion of the moneyis used to fund in game content - whats the harm in that?  You encourage people to continue making gold AND give them new content to do it on.  sounds good to me.

Yes, people that contribute good maps/textures/banners should get gold.

Will motivate players to make maps and such indeed,
But i think someone that makes a map for fun will likely make a more interesting/ enjoyable map to play then someone that forces himself to do so to get gold.

Paying for maps etc just ruins the feeling of the mod IMO

Gold in cRPG is nothing but data. If the admins want to give away cRPG gold for contributions, they can already.

Hell if I had access to the db I could mod myself 3 billion gold and tear down the economy.

Good idea if they let the public vote on 3 or 4 people at a time and tell what they did to deserve it.

tsk tsk tsk Kafein... we all know it's in the National caldarian reserve that all the gold lie!!

every piece of gold is collected by the force of the mighty arms of chadz!

(and also : why using the gold of 5% tax is only so people will feel better with paying a fee, this could even encourage trading and money-sink by the same mean!!)
