loginWelcome to the C-RPG Nations cup!
This cup will be an 8v8 2 map 8 round tournament broadly following the format of the dozens of highly successful native tournaments which have ran in the past.
If you want to get involved, simply go to your team's thread within the Nations Cup sub-forum, and write an application there!
Rules
Overall Tournament Rules
-The Nations Cup will be a knockout tournament with group stages to determine which teams participate in the knockout phase, no second chances. The schedule will be posted, after the sign up phase.
-Before the knockout stage, teams will be split into 3. Each team will qualify for the knockout round, with their positions in the knockout stage being seeded by their performance in the group stage. Draws during the knockout phase are decided by play-off matches.
-The winners of the tournament will be the team that progresses to the Grand Final, and triumphs over their opponents
-In the group stage, teams will be awarded 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and no points for a loss.
-If, during the group stages, teams have the same amount of points in the end, we'll look at the total amount of rounds won/lost.
-Event admins will have the final say.
-Any suspected breach of the Team Regulations, Tournament or Match Rules should be met with immediate confrontation and should be reported to an event admin as soon as possible, preferably by your team representative.
-Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse, either. Don't try it.
-Maps will be decided before the start of the tournament
Match Specific Rules
-Matches will only be played on EU servers. (NC_CRPG_1, NC_CRPG_2 & NC_CRPG_3)
-To play your match on a server, go here http://forum.meleegaming.com/nations-cup/server-booking/ and contact the server organiser, he will then book you in for a day and time of your choice so long as it is available. Both teams must agree on this date and time beforehand.
-The server will be passworded and captains will be informed of the password before hands. this is mainly to prevent any server saturation so that disconnected players can rejoin easily.
-Battle mode will be used on every match.
-Matches will be 8v8, substitutes are not forced but recommended, if one team cannot get 8 players for a match, they must play with the amount of players they have available, unless the other team agrees (and informs an admin) to postpone the match to a later date.
-No more than 10 members of the same clan will be allowed in each team. Remember, if there are too many players of one country teams can be split to allow for example Poland_Team 1 and Poland_Team 2, if that becomes an issue.
-For each match there will be:
-2 Maps, randomly selected beforehand by admins
-4 rounds per spawn per map (totalling 8 rounds per map, and 16 rounds per match)
-Once 4 rounds have been played on each spawn, the map will be restarted, and if team A joined green team and team B joined blue team, team A will now join blue team and team B will now join green team.
Each round will have a set timer of 5 minutes
- No Spectators.
-Rounds resulting in a draw will not be replayed, and no points will be awarded to either team for the round.
-If a team is not ready to play a match within 10 minutes of it's designated starting time, they are awarded a default loss for the match. If a team does not show up for a designated match, they will also be awarded a default match.
- The final date which a match must be played by will be decided by the admins, if by the end of this date one team has made it impossible to play the match, they will be awarded a default loss. If both teams have failed to show up, it will be a default draw.
-The winner will be the team with the most rounds won, at the end of the match.
-Substitutes are allowed before every new spawn switch. You must play the 4 rounds of each spawn with the same team. If you want to change a player, it must be at the spawn switch, and your players must join at the right time, not hanging around in spectator. If by any means you miss out on a swap, your team will have to deal with it, round will go on. If you see your opponents having spectators, please inform an admin and take several screenshots to prove it.
-Unless team captains decide otherwise, team 1 will always start at spawn 1 on the first map and and spawn 2 on the second map and vice versa for team 2.
-In the event of an overall draw in the knockout phase, the match will go to a tie-breaker. Here more rounds are played in sequence until one team is ahead by two (2) rounds. First Team 1 plays at spawn 1 the first map, then Team 1 plays at spawn 2 on the first map, then Team 1 plays at spawn 1 on the second map, then Team 1 plays at spawn 2 on the second map.
-Team captains are advised to install the banner pack and have their team wear their national colours. No name change requested, as wed like to see your clan tag. Though dont change your characters name from the moment youve been put in a roster to avoid miscomprehension.
-Each map must be reset, after 4 rounds, when the teams switch spawns.
-At least one referee has to attend the match.
-If a team cannot make 8 players, at the agreed match time, they must play on regardless.
-A break between maps can be requested, if so, the other team must let them have it. This break is allowed to continue for five minutes, if it extends past this, the team that asked for the break will lose by forfeit. Any break longer than five minutes can be settled by the two team captains.
-No break is allowed at spawn switch.
-Team captains have to post screens -in the match result thread(Link)- of the results of each map before any spawn switch, meaning 4 screens if all went well.
-During group phase all rounds will have to be played, because we'll need to look at your rounds won/lost ratio in the event of equal points at the start of the knockout phase. If a team quits before the match is over and all rounds are played they will be awarded default losses for these rounds. Remember quitting early in this stage hurts your team's chances of winning the group phase. During the knockout phase, the winning team can decide not to finish all rounds if they already won.
Item/Class Specific Rules
-As stated before, matches will be played in an 8v8 format, with preferably 4 substitutes, although this is not enforced.
-As stated before, no more than 10 clan members can be at the same time in one national team.
