So there are a few items that have no effect when heirloomed, for example ladders or torches. (Yes, torches do give stats, but why waste a heirloom for a better torch? They're not supposed for that?) Thus, here are some ideas for uncommon items when heirloomed.
I don't think this will be too hard to code, will it?
Uncommon weapons heirlooms:
Torch - Increase lightning effect on heirloom.
Ladders - Increase healthpoints, maybe armor and/or size on heirloom.
(Construction site - Less materials required on heirloom?)

Allow heirloomed ladders, as it is now without ladders into the sky or combination ladders they sink through walls half the time or are broken in 3 hits. Heirloomed ladders would be like heirloomed shields, increased hitpoints (possiblya rmor as well), so that each heirloom essentially allows a ladder to survive one additional hit before being destroyed.

If somebody already hasnt mentioned it, i will ... Firebombs. Bigger radius of smoke, maybe longer effect so you cant see in that area for longer time. need more ninja tools in general.
