Title: Strategus Team cap via total xp instead of playernumbers.

and interesting thought,  as it might:

a) help get lower level newbies into strat battles
b) make frequent retiring more appealing to some
c) give a new strategic twist in recruiting either many lower level or less higher level players

i am saying this as a lvl 34 going for 35 who wont retire.  my main reason is helping new players getting in.

Also havent decided for myself yet if I like the idea.

Maybe by number of level, that is 1 lvl 34 is like 2 lvl 17s, otherwise high levels are just too expensive...
With mysuggestion they count slightly more, but not that much...
So say with 340 points in a battle you could have 10 lvl 34, 11 lvl 30, or 17 lvl 20. A few more, but not as much as in your suggestion.
With more points, the effects would be proportional

EDIT: Some numbers.
40 lvl 34: 1680 points
40 lvl 30: 1440 points
45 lvl 30: 1620 points
50 lvl 27: 1650 points
60 lvl 22: 1680 points

EDIT2: Tweak. Since 1 lvl 30 is not worth 30 lvl 1s, add 6 to each person's level (number of starting attributes). This way 1 lvl 30 (36) would be like 5 lvl 1 (5*7=35), more reasonable. Changing the numbers above

ya i was aware of that high level proportions thing,  just too lazy to type out a solution.  my evil plan worked out,  as you guys did it for me.

No point for carebears. We already sign only our members or allies. But since many of our players are lvl 30-34, this feature could help small clans or bandits.
Of course it shouldn't be linear(1 lvl31 = 1.1 lvl30 or something).
For example, you could sign 50(standard value) lvl32 players for castle siege or 55-60 lvl31, or 70-80 lvl20, or 45 lvl33 etc.
