Title: Ping rising..

My ping used to be around 45-50 until in august it rose to 60-70. Soon after that, my internet changed to faster one, but it still remained the same :| Yesterday it just randomly rose to 70-75 and today its has been 75-85. Seriously wtf, so annoying. I dont know if anyone can help, just wanted to share my anger with you. I live in southern Finland, Helsinki

Kinda same problem, somedays my ping is around 55 as usual but suddenly raises to 80-120 w/o anything changing in my comp, and i live in about same area as you, u know what is really odd? Well my friend and brother have been living in my place and we use the same router and internet, but they dont have any problems with ping...

Btw we have Sonera 100/40 or something like that, what you using?

Yeah same here...ping is usually 15 but yesterday it randomly rose to 19 for several hours...unplayable for me pls fix this!!

Haha so funny I'm dying. Difference between 45 and 80 ping is quite big. And when it rises to 90 I can easlily notice the lag.

Funny, when it goes to 200 for me, people teleport backward forward left right, attacks don't show and i always end up dead somehow  :?

Having same problems, sometimes its normal 40-50, sometimes its 130-150.
No reason on my side I believe... Is there anything going on with servers lately? :o

is there a specific time when this happens? I was told that around 23:00 to 1:00 gmt+1 there are at least with crpg/strat website loading issues. I don't know if that also reflects perhaps on the gaming servers.

For me its is litterally, all the time, some of the time (ie random times) or non of the time. So pretty hard to be spicific

Well, be grateful, because your "lag" is my usual ping, and then it rises up to 120-160 from like 16:00 to 00:00 everyday. I'm getting tired of it.

Yeah I already wrote about this in some other thread, but lately my ping sometimes randomly rises to over 130 and occasionally I get disconnected from the server when ping rises too much. I dont know if there is some differences between times of day, because lately I've had time to only play in evenings

Same here. Again, Its a problem with the server host's network not ours. Nothing we can do, only chadz or the guy in charge of server renting may tell the company hosting the servers to fix it.

Hmm my ping in NA actually is lower lately than normal.  A couple weeks ago it dropped down to 20-23 on average, when typically it was at 27-33 before.

My WAN connection is going from Minneapolis to Chicago.

That just sounds like your areas network been overloaded, nothing to do at crpg.

No, mate, I played War of the Roses for a week when it was released, and I had no issues with ping at any time of the day, unlike cRPG. If I played Left 4 Dead 2 or any other online game too, I never had any connectivity issues, whereby, in cRPG, I have been having lag for a long time now during the afternoons.

Also, whenever I am experiencing this lag with the EU servers, my ping to the NA servers does not change at all. In fact, in some occasions, the ping to EU servers rose to a value even higher than that of NA.  :)

They have too much power in the Battleserver - in August before they raised the EU1 , they got better CPU etc. i had 28 (normall 38) and now its - totally fucked.

the problem is probably situated around the belgian(/dutch) (edit: according to knitler its frankfurt server) server. both me and lepintoi have a unplayable ping (i have a ping up to 450) and we are both belgian. other players seem to have some ping rise too, but not as bad as ours. i think the problem is mostly situated in the evening (servers overused)

My ping on EU servers is totally fucked now. It used to be around 40-50, now its 200! NA and Asian pings are normal, so the problem is not on my end.

Guess its time to start playing on NA, at least there i get 128, too bad its filled with americans.

I usually have around 50 ping, now, it increased after 21:00 to around 300... And I dont think its my network, because when I tested it, it had the same speed as earlier that day.

Here is some irrefutable proof that the EU servers are laggy whilst NA servers are not: (pictures taken earlier this afternoon) (note that I normally have between 75 and 90 ping in EU)

Sweden, in a semi-dark forest. Normal ping to the EU servers has always been 42-45, which tends to be the case these days as well. However, at random, it rises to and remains at 199-201, along with everyone else obviously routed through the same despicable gateway.

Just a bit sad in this day and age, given how that even three years ago I had a better ping to the UK fps servers than people living in bloody London. Hopefully the provider can find a solution?

It's a gateway that's choking it mate. Also, your connection capacity has nothing to do with your quality. Latency and packetloss cares little about how wide a highway they travel, only about the surface of the road and the trailer that's blocking the intersection! ;)
