Title: Siege

Today: No admins on eu2, polls disabled.... 5 Minutes after joining, a nice guy called Borat99 starts attacking teammates in spawn with a dadao, nothing happens to him, fair enough. 2 maps later, same guy, repeteadly attempting (I say attempting, he managed once but after that I had to beat him with my spear to stop him) to open the gate as defender.


WOULD IT BE SO HARD to enable polls OR have an admin there? Thanks.

When this happens, take pics and open a ban thread. They will get a very nice week long vacation.

edit: also, you could always go into the "mod application thread" and support people who play a lot of siege and want to be mods.

Yeah but thats still stupid. Since the thing that the OP is probably thinking about, is instant punishment. And the ban threads is gonna take a fuck loads of time, before the punishment comes.

While stopping the trasgression itself is always nice, sometimes it simply doesn't happen :/

In these cases, you can only make sure it doesn't happen again: open a ban thread.

Compared to other gaming communities I've played in, cRPG is like kindergarten.  If you did shit like this in other games, most well run community servers you would be gone FOREVER, perma ban no questions asked.  The reason stuff like this happens is the beyond lenient admin policies of the mod.  Admin's should check logs and remove this guy from the game forever if he tw'ed more than 3 teammates at the start of rounds.

Noone seems to understand that shit like this poisons the community and discourages people from playing, especially anyone new.

Yeah the older players can look past a guy teamwounding at spawn for 3 maps in a row, but if newer players see that, and see that nothing is done about it, then they assume that there's no control over the servers.

I sure as shit know back when I was a CS pub whore, if there was a server I joined and people were teamkilling/wounding without penalty, or people were cheating and there either weren't admins to take care of it, or the admins didn't care, then I immediately left and never returned.

Admins who disable polls then leave deserve to be beaten IRL and lose their adminship forever.

But obviously noone cares enough about siege, take a look at my signature, this thread has been around for ages. Oh yeah, and the last time admins were recruited, none of those players actually play siege frequently, although there were so many "siegies" applying for it.

That's not an assumption. That is fact. There IS no controll over the seige servers.

I don't think the situation on siege is that bad. Lots of careless teamwounding but heh it's siege it was always like that.

Siege admin:
1* must be willing to be admin
2* must play there all of the time
3* be fair/have logic/common sense
4* doesn't have clan favoritism

Nearly all the people without clantags that regularly enter the top 5 score on a siege map are admin material.

And many others have a lower average score but would do an excellent admin job. High score people tend to be more active.
