Hey guys!
Some of you may have seen my trailer in the announcements section http://forum.meleegaming.com/announcements/new-promotion-video-contest/45/ (http://forum.meleegaming.com/announcements/new-promotion-video-contest/45/)
I hadn't much time, but I manged to change the original trailer:
- replaced low res scenes
- shortened the long/boring intro
- mentioned strategus
The trailer isn't very long, but I think this is the best to show the most important facts about cRPG. It also prevents the viewer from skipping parts of it
First trailer:

Second (new):

I made this poll to find out which of the two versions is the best.
Thanks :)

Love both, second one is better overall but a tiny bit rushed.
I know editing and it can be hard to go back through and add more "breathing room" because that involves a lot of little changes throughout, but some of the parts are hard to read/comprehend what you're seeing if you don't already play cRPG/Strategus, you know?
Just a thought.
But def best overall imo.
Again, if it seems yours is being leaned towards I would love to do some simple graphics for the text parts you have right now.

Fairly good trailers. Though I dislike that cRPG is often portrayed as "huge battle only".
There is a lot more to cRPG than big battles, some of us play cRPG without ever participating in those large battles.
Would be nice if you focused more on the character development. But of course huge battles are very important for some cRPG players, so don't leave it out, just tune it down :D
-
I haven't forgotten you Elindor :D I will wait for more opinions about the second trailer. If they like it I will contact you :)
I would also like to make the trailer a bit longer, but it's very hard to time this with the music. The second problem is MY time.. i hadn't so much :?

I kinda agree with this actually...
Maybe out of like 10 large battle shots you replace like 3 or so with smaller fight shots....some good small group teamwork, some parrying/feinting, etc

Pretty awesome but a bit more combat with "epic moments" could make this even better ;-)
Another thing is that the end of the vid needs a few secs of silence and no picture/staying picture
so it doesn`t end like it`s cut out.
Just my 2cents, maybe it helps you.

Wow, a really good job with those trailers, the part when you have the guy upgrading his equipment on the spot is really epic :D Good luck in fine tuning. Im going to vote for the second trailer, simply because there is a bit more footage on strategus.
-
Just one small thing:
Can you change "skill your character" to something like "level up"/"level up your character", "build your character", "create your class" or anything like that? "Skill your character" just sounds a bit.... weird.
Also, while not really a big issue, but changing the game to the English version, at least for the video, might be a good thing. Nothing big, though.

thats it! trailer is there ! you got it, just some tiny touch ups
1.all web browsing parts should be done in fullscreen mode (i think it would look alot more profesional that way)
2.remove the HUD
that would ofcourse mean that you'd have to re-record gameplay footage(same style and everything as in the 2nd trailer), but trust me, it would be worth it, everything would look much more profesionall
-
I think thats the best trailer at the moment. Both are good but voted for second one cause theres a strat part in it. Music choise is awsome. Good work.

One suggestion:
Add a black screen for half a second at the end of your video. That way the final blow with the two handed sword is presented much better. The last frame freezing when the video ends kind of destroys the effect.
-
Second one is the best one.
You should use the Title, devs etc. As a transistion between the clips instead of presenting the whole thing at the beginning if you get my drift

Dueling!

2nd trailer but I do agree that it could use more than just large battles. They are very nice on their own though. Nice job 8-)
-
I liked the first scene from first trailer
-
You don't need to re- record stuff to get rid of HUD. You can just cut it off in any program by resizing it a bit
-
Amazing
Only thing i dont like is the ending with the sword sweep down, just think its....meh
Maybe have some epic finale e.g. going through a battle ending up fading out on the sun or whatever and the (when new logo) is chosen having that pop up, other than that its absoultely brilliant
-
I like the second trailer more, but I do agree it's a little fast-paced. Nice that you highlighted a lot of features.

Wow great idea, some kind of way to implement the new logo in the end. Since yeah i agree, the ending is a little bit meh. Its still a rly good trailer, just trying to help out.

i miss catapults and Siege Towers
both r very nice i voted for 2

I agree with the dudes about the ending, make the screen full red after the final sword slash, then fade to black while fading in the logo in the center of the screen.
