As a title says.
Do they?

Yesh.

I don´t think so .... i have an xbower with 160 wpf. and sniper xbow. Don´t think it makes more damage as with 1 wpf.
That´s the reason why so many people run around with xbow, as 2nd weapon.
I read the only thing what is changed is the crosshairs, when you are aiming. They will get more precise and aiming is better.
Other opinions ?

The accuracy on 1 wpf crossbows is ridiculously accurate, for a ranged weapon.
-
Lolwut? I can't hit a shit with xbow if I have 1wpf (and I had 1wpf yesterday after I retired from shielder).
And I am not talking about using crossbow as a shotgun, because it isn't meant to be used that way - I am talking about shoting to targets 10+ meters far from me.
For me, it seems to increase dmg a bit, but maybe it is "only" a feeling. Well, afaik, all weapons' wpf are increasing their dmg...

Nevermind, i do use it as a shotgun whenever i pick it up.
Or, i see it as ''luck''. The enemy is this % in the aim, so let's see if i'm lucky. I'm not a dedi ranged, so sorry then.

afaik it does, but not to any really ~noticeable~ extent.
-
Neither proficiency nor strength increase the damage of crossbows.
-
Where did you get that info John?
-
Testing a crossbow with 1 and capped proficiency, and 3 and 1000 strength. I'm fairly certain you can't alter the function of proficiency without implementing the script enhancer.
