Nice guide. Thanks )
Btw:
Quote
Any weapon with 150 length or more will make a horse rear
Actually, 141 length or more. Poleaxe (141) does rear horses, Long Bardiche (140) doesn't.

Quick question, i keep hearing that with polearms the right swing is good while the left is pretty bad. Whats the reasoning behind this?

Interesting, tbh, I don't know any excellent spearman personally (or I never inquired about their builds) who have 4-5 athletics.  Minimum I've seen is always 6, and many more prefer 7-8.  As for Canary, 9 doesn't even seem enough for him.

Discovered the guide, nice one as it its modest size is easy to digest and will help many people  :D

want to add two other possible primary weapons:

Battle Fork
makes 32 damage (piercing), and 21 piercing in the secondary mode, is a horse stopper (142 length) and gives you enough speed to move on the battlefield, even without a shield, plus you can swith between 1h and pole, a thing you cant do with the mighty Ashwood Pike or Light Lance, speed of 92 somehow ok, but not awesome

Double Sided Lance
makes 32 pierce damage, 16 blunt in the secondary mode, is a nice thing for close combat in a mess and for siege, good speed with 93, and more survival chances in a 1v1 as you can stab from a closer distance, bad for open maps as it cannot stop horses (130 length), but you can switch here with a secondary weapon as well, bad choice on horse and without shield tho, high price

Most people suck in spear 1v1 tho, and those who dont are full of mw equipment

Left swing is slower, and if I'm correct I don't think it reaches as far.

Yeah, I just changed it to 6. When I said minimum before I really did mean minimum though.

Any tips on using the throwing lance in melee?
It is fast (103 speed) and has good damage (20b and 30p) but is only 120 length.

Does the regular spear rear horses?

When used with a shield for the reach bonus it does though!
