Title: What are some nice low-difficulty weapons for high AGI builds?
Post by: WhiteAndMilky on September 13, 2012, 01:57:29 am
Just looking for some ideas for a new agi build. I like to keep my ath high, since I have high ping and it makes it very difficult/impossible to parry. So I use footwork instead to dodge attacks.

Weapon difficulties lets say 12 and under, unless you know a really great one that is over 12.

I found a few that I really like so far:
1h Yanmaodao - 6
1h Nomad Sabre - 6
2h longsword - 10
2h heavy bastard sword - 10
2h Two handed sword - 12
Polearm Quarterstaff - 7

Lookin forward to seeing what you guys like to use!

spamtana

I was wondering wy no one suggested it! But it lacks range imo to dance with heavy lag, i'd say go miaodao for super spam miracle cut damage killing!

Flanged Mace
Winged Mace
Military Sickle

I use the Flanged Mace on my 9/30 1h alt. Like this one unloomed more than my mw Niuweidao. The blunt I find to be a necessity.

If you are gonna use a shield which that is my guess...

1 handers
Scimitar - 100 speed, 97 length, and 30 Cut damage. -
Niuweidao- 101 speed, 88 length, and 32 Cut damage. I would use this one simply because its my favorite  :D
Liuyedao- 102 speed, 88 length, and 31 Cut damage.
Steel Pick - 99 speed, 64 Length, and 32 Pierce damage.

2 handers
Goedendag-  95 speed, 117 length, and 25 Blunt damage + Knockdown chances.
Dadao- 92 speed, 115 length, and 42 Cut damage.
Miaodao - 95 Speed, 115 Length and 40 Cut damage.
Mace - 98 speed, 70 Length, and 28 Blunt damage + Knockdown chances.

Polearms
Quarter Staff- speed 100, length 137, and 20 Blunt damage + Knockdown chances.
Red Tassel spear - speed 97, length 150 , and 27 Pierce damage.

I do believe everything besides the 2 handers can be used with a shield, if you were looking to do a hoplite agl build or something

I appreciate it! Seem to have a knack for misplacement.

Thank you everyone for your great suggestions so far!

High agility Longspears and Bamboos can work well, if you feel comfortable wearing a bit of armour to soak arrows.  15/27 is fun.

The less strength you have, the more likely you want to use a pierce or blunt weapon. Also, remember that your speed bonus is a double edged sword. While you may 1 shot someone if you get them full charge, the opposite works as well.

I actually have a nice pike build that allows me to spear when I want in light armor, then switch to heavier armor and use poleaxe. I also have a 12str agi build 2hander, so I guess I will do onehand this time.

I am also kind of liking shield right now, so I am trying to decide between 12/27 and 9/30. 12 has so many more options for weapons and armor, but I really like to move at 30 agi speed =/

with 30 agility, you can wear light armor and chase down any thrower/archer that tries to run.

EDIT: How are the scottish sword and broad short sword?

Don't know much about the broad short sword, but I have a +3 scottish sword. It's a very special weapon, but I'm quite fond of it myself. A flanged mace at 9 strength requirement is also a great option.

EDIT: How are the scottish sword and broad short sword?

Both are very good for what they require,

Short Broad sword is prolly my favorite of the two though

If you want to be cheap, the regular short sword is a REALLY good cost effective short sword. 1 cut / pierce less than scottish at 1/3 the price.

As far as polearms go, I love the Fauchard. It's got huge range, 4 swing directions, can rear a horse, decently fast, and cheap. Another one I like recently is the shortened spear for its speed. Low damage on these weapons but frankly you'll be swinging so quickly they'll just keep getting hit!

with 15\27 you can already use almost every weapon. DGS, GGS, Bec, War cleaver, Barmace etc...

I suggest you to use lightlance. Cheap and very effective

I didn't suggest it because there are plenty of cheaper and better 2h weapons than the katana and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. I use it purely because of it's asthetic appearance - I get more kills with the Shortened Military Scythe, which is a vastly superior weapon at a third of the price.
