Title: Hoplite Build Tinkering.
Post by: 7000bc on September 09, 2012, 01:28:33 am
Funnest? Most survivable? Strongest? I'm curious, thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy. (And one of these will probably be my next build.)
As a side note, all these builds have 15 agi because I'm obsessed with the huscarl shield. Any other ideas are welcome.

Build 1: Pure Frontline Infantry type, designated name: Spartan
(click to show/hide)

Build 2: My current Squishy but versatile build: Athenian

(click to show/hide)

Build 3: A Throwing Hoplite, fully throwing spear compatible: Agamemnon

(click to show/hide)

Serve with a barbutte or suitably grecian looking attire and have fun!

Yup, listen to Gurni. Always max ATH and PS. You can leave out 1 point of IF instead, but movement is really important as much as dmg is. All those builds ain't bad.

Blitzcraig used to go 15/24 (18/24 @ 33). If I were going hoplite that's the build I'd do. 8 WM 5 PS; IF, Shield, WM to taste.

Make 18-18 with maxed PS, maxed ath, maxed shield, maxed WM and rest to IF. That's what I'm using and topping the siege servers with

give it greek names :P :
1. Hoplites Spartiates
2. Hypaspistes
3. Peltastes

If you go as peltast, do not use Huscarl shield, it's 2 slot shield, you won't have anything to throw

For hoplite imho AGI is more important than strenght, because good footwork is crucial when you be alone and S-button sometimes is the only hope :P
