Title: level 32+ retirement bonuses
Post by: Corsair831 on August 25, 2012, 06:35:13 pm
can we have a word on these please?  i've not retired my main character because i thought that these things were coming in months ago, I was just wondering if that's still happening, and if it will be worth not retiring for ? thanks, Corsair. Moo.

I agree, it was pretty stupid to say you are going to add this and thus high level chars are afraid to retire because they fear that bonuses would be added right after they retire

Yeah give more bonuses like that to increase disadvantageousness between players.

Yeah give more bonuses like that to increase disadvantageousness between players.

Looms provide a marginal boost to players. The higher leveled players(often the best on server, usually) are where the disadvantages lie. Convincing them to retire will help.

Ranged looms are most efficient(but take 6 points) followed by horse, shield, armor, and then melee weapon.

I retired at 32 last time I retired. I got tired of waiting. :'( If they decide anything soon I hope they can retroactively go back and reward peoples

I'm waiting for the bonuses to get implemented before I bother getting to a high level.

Like a smart person.

What if it was only a false rumor spread in this community, to decrease the number of loompoints on the market like this?

But you won't lose anything if you go high level now. If you're afraid bonuses will not be worthy of your time, you'll keep that high level char.

As for loompoints, you can always retire an alt, which is something I'm doing for past two months (gen 10 already).

idk about a bonus to be honest

im concerned about how the wpf change is going to effect hybrids let alone them making a bonus for 34 builds.

im considering doing a high lvl build after i hit xp cap but there shouldnt be a bonus added to it

forcing people to take the time to get to 32(which is multiple gens wasted) to compete is kind of harsh

If only there was low number of loompoints on market, I could sell mine easily.

People run out of gold, not loompoints.

I'm surprised this is an issue at all, considering every player I know stopped retiring because they did not need the looms anymore and were tired of being a peasant. If you start to tire of your class it is still better to respec.

Mind if I ask what made you stop retiring in the first place, and then what changed your mind later on?

I'll only retire again if it allows me to have a +4 long espada eslanova OF DOOM

If its just x number of loompoints, screw that.

I originally got to level 32 on my main, which was a hybrid 1h / thrower, i then did 3-4 gens on alts (not actually 3-4 gens, but with many respecs it was probably about that much), and after realising from my alt how unequivicably worthless throwing is, i now want to retire my alt. However, problem solve, i just respeced it to a hoplite. I'm 31 now, if they implement these 'bonuses' it's only a dozen or so big strat battle to get to 32, so np :)

alts ftw.

I'm only a high level cause i wanna make advantage of bonus! Otherwise I keep retiring until i have like....300 MWs. I think that's the amount of items in my inventory.

I've been waiting to see if the devs drop hints of what this bonus would be myself or implement it. Then I'll see if it's still worth retiring 32+, unlike the retirement system now. Only reason I've been sticking around lately.
