you need to put your WPF to Bows not Crossbows.

it means its below 0 Effective weapon proficiency -eWPF in archery so game reduces/lowers your power draw to pd that u can handle probably 1 or 0.

each point of power draw reduces your archery  by 14 points so is too much weight

i say fininsh your generation if you are lvl 25+ or respec if you are lower lvl  and try one of these http://forum.meleegaming.com/beginner's-help-and-guides/solid-builds/

and you have 12 skillpoints btw, you can convert them into attribute points. so you can make your char a 15/18 build or something.

Yeah I goofed and did the same thing and respeced way back at like lvl 19.  (one reason I'm still gen 1. :p)

That said how do you trade in skill points for Attribute points?

You should check out a thread like: http://forum.meleegaming.com/beginner%27s-help-and-guides/solid-builds/

And use http://infinitum.dyndns.org/crpg/calc.htm Character Planner to test builds

You should put points into Athletics before IF really, and IF depends on the build

Bows/crossbows are totally separate items. Crossbow only uses WPF to determine how accurate you are. Power Draw is used to determine what Difficulty of bow you can use, and adds some damage (but reduces your bow wpf at the same time). PD has no impact on crossbows at all. Ranged wpf is usually mostly a measure of how small your crosshair will go, you need like 160+ for bows (depends on pd and armour tho), for crossbows its not so important but a dedicated xbower would still put points here

Dur... I R Blind.  Dur... thanks! :)

Let me guess at like a 10 to 1 ratio from skills to attributes?  (Doesn't show up when you don't have extra points so I forgive myself a little. :p )

I'd really recommend against rolling your own build for your first gen. It's rough enough just learning the ropes, let alone trying to do so while playing with a weak build.

this build is pretty much a very gooood starter  it make you try all the melee type so you can choose what you will do next!

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

Strength: 18
Agility: 18
Skills to attributes: 2
Ironflesh: 6
Power Strike: 6
Shield: 5
Athletics: 6
Weapon Master: 6
One Handed: 100
Two Handed: 100
Polearm: 100

you won't be super efficient at any, but you will try them all!!

(for ranged I recommend skip the fun alt)
