Just wondering if you can add more than 2 teams to a map? I think it would be fun to have a map type for like a 4 or 6 team CTF, kinda like the old UO abyss server style.
-
You can have more than 2 teams, but it isn't a map thing.
-
I think it would be sick to have a game-mode where it was mainly dedicated to clan versus clan fighting. There are 3-4 teams or so and your entire banner gets put together, no exceptions, no autobalance. You and your clan can fight for dick-size and dick-waving rights and shit. I think it'd also be fucking cool for "trying-out" new possibly additions to the clan, so to speak. To see if they're worth their salt in a fight and would be a good addition to your clan. Maybe you could pick the team you're on so clans that have really close ties could hang out on the same team. I know that FIDLGB and Chaos are tight bros, so if it was possible in such a game-mode, I'd pick to fight with those folks.

What do you mean Phantom?
-
What about the pubs?!

Having more than one team doesn't have anything to do with a particular map is what I believe he means. It's a tweakable setting. So yes, you can- in fact, Persistent World Mod (ugh) had this feature, and a lot of other nifty features.
There are cool possibilities with this. Very good question.

With some sort of queu implemented? It sounds kind of lame and "wowish" but with a system like the dueling one but with "clans" or "teams" we could have something like rated battles, say points per "round won".
And this would do clan activity good, ofcourse it has to be balanced and to make it work good custom maps will have to be made that are build for the gamemode, only random plains would work atm with 4 spawn points im afraid...
Im very stoned atm so im not sure wether im talking crap or not
Ps: no xp/gold reward, maybe x1 but no multi, just rating, if won this should really be about the gameplay not raking money and xp. :)

All good points. The biggest issue would be the map-making. I don't know how difficult the scene editor is for warband. I tried using Hammer many moons ago to make maps for various source-mods, and I came dangerously close to dashing my own brains out with a rock. It fucking sucked. If it's that difficult, then goddang I wouldn't think about trying. If it was intuitive and whatnot, I'd give it a shot.

Just like the three-body problem in gravitational physics, three teams instead of two will lead to chaos. Furthermore devs are far too lazy to find those Lagrange points to make it work.
-
Thats the point is to have chaos...... could care less about the XP/gold problem. Just sounded fun. Guess not lol
-
A game like this with more than two teams will always end up with teams more or less allying/avoiding confrontation to stay alive.
Warband is not made for diplomacy. If we had ingame diplomacy it would be uber cool though.
-
I think you guys are over thinking it......
-
I like it.
Enough rage driven lunatics in the game to avoid deplomacy in a match anyway ^^
-
Would be great to see 6 teams of six or eight. Extreme survival mode.
-
Ofc this would work best if you get rewarded by performance, and not by surviving :P (which shouldnt be a problem in the future with that new reward system thats gonna kick in.

Not if noone knows which other is which.

Implement this yesterday and damn the consequences.

I think it would be kinda both like the one is set up now, team points and individual points.
