Title: Can`t buy equip before battle

I have my first strat battle today, i got attacked.
Problem is, i can`t buy or sell equip.

But in the Strategus F.A.Q. it says:
"Q: I have been attacked! What can I do? What can't I do?
A: You can buy equipment for your troops up until the time of the battle. You cannot move. You cannot transfer. "

the FAQ is wrong, u cant buy or sell outside of an fief. When u are held for an battle everything is locked.
btw, wich FAQ are u talking about, i dont see that Q & A anywhere?
