Title: New samurai armor emerged osp

since there was a poll to remove samurai armors, and it failed and now we are stuck with them till the mod dies, atleast we can change them to something more eyepleasing

Was suggested and ignored before. Those look awful. The current ones are shit but look far better.

I'm not particularly a fan of samurai stuff, but the fact is we have, and it's awful...
This armor is ten times better than the current.

That is why I allowed myself to start to modify this one in order to have three versions corresponding to those that we have already.
For now, I got this:

I hope it will help the devs to look more closely this armor  :D

The current ones look like some cheesy/bizarre sci fi outfits to me. When I look at them I don't think 'Japanese Samurai' at all. These new ones look much more realistic IMO.

Those armours seem oddly glossy, but I think this can easily be fixed by changing the shader model to something more suitable.

can you link me the download for that? assuming they have gloves boots and new head armor models aswell

Nice find Gazda! I'm all for the current samurai armour to be upgraded and those screens looked promising :) +1

You're all forgetting how the Strange Armours looked before - be thankful Ujin and the now Byzantium guys went out of their way to find good replacements. The current ones are not bad, per se, but they are not excellent either.

This. People forgot about the pink armor or something? Now THAT was horrible.

I like the modifications. Maybe some color variations would be nice, too. And the specularity is still too high.
