Dragons: The return of the elephant riders

Hello there!

Maybe you havent realized it yet, but our feared and often blamed developers gave us two usefull features, which are transfer and skip the fun.

Transfer means, you can have different characters and transfer the gold from one to another.

Skip the fun means your character jumps to level 30 plus you get 10.000 extra gold. (Hint: Dont use it on your main. Create a new character and use it on this one.)

Combine the two, and you can play every class you want the way you want. Playing classes that dont need high upkeep (staffman, shielder, archer) allows you to permanently make money and send it to your high maintenance bitch.

Although things are a bit more complicated, this led to the return of the elephant riders. (An elder scroll was involved, too, but this is a long story.)

One elephant alone might not be very fearsome, but its always fun, and a group of them would rock.
They can be used to defend archers, to attack archers, or if necessary to break the enemys line in a charge of elemental fury.

Joining the united forces of the elephant riders is pretty easy.

Step 1: Get a proper elephant rider build. Here is mine (level 30 skip the fun):
(click to show/hide)
Of course you could take a bow or throwing daggers or whatever you like.

Step 2: Get a proper shield: the bigger the better

Step 3: Get your very own elephant:
Depending on the money you want to invest, there are three different types of available elephants
a) The (small normal) elephant (in the shop they call it sumpter horse)
b) The war elephant (shop name = destrier)
c) The armored war elephant (shop name = plated charger)
Bonus feature for this one: dragon fire breath
To use the dragon fire breath in-game, press the keys ctrl and j. Note, your rider needs 10 or more riding skill and he needs to ride a plated charger. If you dont fulfill the requirements, you will see the normal animation. If you do, the plated charger will additionnally breath fire. We used the animation from fire bombs we had at earlier stages of crpg, you might remember. The cooldown is (at the moment) set to unlimited, meaning you can use the fire breath only once in a round, so choose it wisely.

Step 4: Join a server and trample (and burn) and enjoy it.

kind regards to death whisperer who inspired me to create my first elephant rider

Even without transfer, you DO realize you could just wear peasant gear on your main right?

Seems legit but I don't wanna delete my stf, so grinding to 30 is a pain.

This, really. Just wear the peasant gear on main with the added bonus of your main and not some alt getting all that XP.

This is pretty balanced tbh, sure you can have elephants but they still suck the cash and xp from time spent on your main (or time you could have spent), regardless if from the main or from an Alt.

Also, only the Plated Charger has ever been called an Elephant (And on very rare occasions the Mamluke due to being another massive HP/Armor/Bump giant). Slap yourself for calling the Sumpter an elephant...

It's a fucking terrible horse on its own, with a bit of teamwork it's ok.

Plated chargers suck at speed, bumps, maneuver, everything but their hp is shit.

Since they got 0 leg armor they're the biggest waste of money in CRPG you can get. 4-6 Pitchfork stabs with my 13 ath 1 PS char = Dead elephant

It's really stupid but a waste of money unless you just want it for troll purposes (bump bump till u die).

You should get a destrier for that, bump, bump, you die, applies for destriers.

Destrier/Warhorse is the highest you should go (unloomed horses) imo. But personally for looks and being cool i prefer Cata Horse.

Clearly you don't know that it takes 10,000 just to transfer off your skip the fun to any any other character.

You do realize that you can not transfer back items from a stf char unless they are heirloomed, right?

I have a +3 Plated Charger... It has one thing going for it, it can make a nice door on siege. That's only if people don't hit it in the legs.

3 shots in the leg from a qstaff took it out the other day...

Yeah the leg damage this is retarded.

Good nerf, though.
