Title: Horse loom restructure
Post by: LordRichrich on August 17, 2012, 10:06:25 pm
Idea helped by Torben

I say we change the way horses loom!
War horses gain hp, armour and charge. Arab horses gain manourve and hp, speed horses (coures and palfrey only really) gain speed and hp (and maybe slight charge because of increased speed)

Makes the horses become better at their function instead of better all round.

Not sure about this.

The horses already got the difference and concentrate on certain stats by their base stats. I rather like some additional speed, armor and hp for my desert horse. It already has enough maneuver... :p

What would we accomplish besides complicating the current heirlooming system?
I mean, you could do this with all types of items.

If I were a crpg developer I would be against this (and I'm a developer since 6 years back).
It's better to change the base stats and have the heirlooming stats adjusted automatically.

A year I suggested heir loom streams damage or speed. The problem is the additional balancing required every idea can work given time and effort it comes down to wether debs want to spend it on your idea.

ah cool, you did a topic bout it : )

higher specialization of equipment and therefor roles on the battlefield will help make the game even more interesting imo.
