seriously, buff archers, they can't give any damage... you need 10 of them to kill a single 2hander, and he's not even wearing heavy armor!

It's not archery as a whole that needs a boost of any kind, let alone damage. If you're complaining that you can't kill every player you aim at in under 5 hits then your perspective is skewed.

There's lots of variation in builds, both archer builds and "target" builds. I know that with 80HP, +3 Weimar Helmet/Gothic plate with bevor/heavy gaunlets I've gone down in 3 body shots to hybrid archers (Cyranule, Granpappy, etc) or in 2 shots to dedicated archers (Shik, Agile, Robin Longstride, ToD). I've also taken 6 shots in worn desert robes with 65HP. It all depends on your build/gear.

Simplifying the situation down to "archers can't kill anything, they need more damage output" is pointless and a baseless platform for rebalancing anything. It is possible to do ungodly amounts of damage as an archer, but it also takes giant brass balls and boat loads of skill.

If you want to do more damage then re-evaluate your build/gear. It's a hard to run around with just a bow and powerdraw, but that's what it takes to maximize the damage output of archery.

Just buff everybody's HP insanely high so at say lvl 30 with 5 IF you got 200 HP atleast.

More HP and then buff bow n arrows. And make em cut ofc.

Oh, In case you guys didn't know, Maybe it is a bug but headshots for archers give shit for points. I headshot people from full HP, I only get 2 points. Sometimes three points? If I body shot the same person twice, I'll get 6-8 points. What is this bullshit? Why Am I punished for skill?
Thank god I don't try to get points, just try to help my team. If for my own score, I'd only bodyshot.

Halfway down the scoreboard in points, even though I carried my team. FYI, I play archer as if I'm a pikeman, it is much better than the panzy shit most archers do by shooting at people form a distance? WHy?
I even have 0 athletics (until today, I hit level 32 and now finished my build, 2 athletics! woo!)
I don't have the screenshot of it because I didn't take it, but on One map yesterday I did 10 headhsots in a  row, 10-0 for my team and I had 21 points.
21. 2 points per headshot kill. 1 for a proximity kill. I've been mad that skill goes unrewarded all day since I realized this.

I don't get it.
back on topic though, JESUS CHRIST DON'T BUFF ARCHERY, IT IS SO OP I FEEL DIRTY PLAYING IT.

I WANT HEADSHOT KILLS TO GIVE THE SAME POINTS AS IF I BODYSHOT THEM TO DEATH. I don't like that skill is actively punished under this point system. Thanks.

Although archery is gimped I dont see buffing it will help the game much. Cav is the one main problem in this game

Skill is a factor. There are some archers out there, famous for their score. (Often used as escape goats for nerf threads)

Well its not hard to get a good score when you target people in light armour and weaker opponents with a masterwork bow and arrow. Kills does not always = skills

When your projectile moves all over the place its all about spam and getting lucky once you figure out the projectile speed and arch, also the build is a huge factor i guess

You probably have 55-60+ body armor with all that. Some arrows hit your arms, too. I would consider yourself a bit lucky, depending on the archers who shot you, though. Some poor melee builds with only 40ish body armor do feel pain from arrows.

I think archery is fine and I play archer.
Sometimes I get mad when a guy takes six or more arrows into him as he is charging me forcing me to run away out of fear of his bloody mangled body with Jason invincibility. But that happens arrows can not pierce all armor and thats what the two handers are for. Archers kill the weaker guys to make the numbers more even and try and help with the occasional stun. Archers are support classes not main fighters. It's like playing a war game and being mad the medic doesn't kill everyone. He is there is help. Just like archers are for helping. Though occasionally leading the score board with kills and points is a confidence builder.

cmon guys lets all be honest, you can fist a archer to death if u get close to them. i say give them a leap ability so they can leap backwords with cooldown of 0.5 seconds, this should make it fair for their lack of damage! :D

Buff hybrids, buffing dedicated archers who run everytime someone get close to them is shit, push that scrap to spent some points on PS...  8-)
