Title: Custom banner testing?

How to test a custom banner in-game? For checking the heraldics and the banner above friendly troops ^^

Get a heraldic armor, use ~ to look about yourself.

I mean how to get the banner in the game? (for testing in native or whatever)

You can edit the default banner files and insert your banner in there. (std_banner_x.dds or something like that). Open them with a image editor like Paint.NET and DDS-Plugin or similar.

Now I'm more or less stuck, I have a DDS converter but I cant convert my banner (cant click the button its grey)
Any ideas?

Well if you have Windows, you may try out Paint.NET: http://www.getpaint.net/ . There is a DDS-Plugin for it, so you can open DDS-Files like normal pictures and modify them.

I downloaded the DDS plugin for Gimp but DDS still isnt in the list of compatible formats...

I can open the DDS files with Gimp (2.8.0) just fine. I'm not sure if I installed any special plugins for Gimp though...

I managed to convert now : but it gives an error ; "blalala.png size = not a power of 2   , conversion has failed"
How to fix? ^^
