What do you think? Also, either 11 athletics or 11 wm. I decided that 11 athletics is better, because 1 more wm would give me as much as 9 more wpf, which shouldn't do that much difference on reloading speeds.

Worth it fun wise, perhaps. Is it effective, noooope.

Now, why not? :D
11 athletics is seriously fast. I doubt there's anyone who could match me with the speed of running.
Add to that double crossbow and a really fast reloading... It might work.
Well it kinda worked 4 months ago but as some know I haven't played cRPG for a long time and I don't know how many things changed so I have to ask some questions again :)

Cav kills you, Archers kill you. Both easily. You can't block down without melee weapon, so stabs get you. It's really hard to dodge 2 cav all the time, and Archers can spam you. but will be fun I bet!
-
Its fun for sure. What i used to do is carry 4 xows and lolshot some poor guy
-
Respecced my Horse Crossbowman to this build.
Currently 19 level.
So far so good, but it's not end-build yet.
People tend to be surprised when I change to the second crossbow and shoot again when they least expect. If a cav tries to charge me and stops next to me for whatever reason (wall, other horse, tree) - their horse is pretty much dead and I can run away, reload and repeat ;D
-
it probably takes you more to switch to your other xbow and aim, then it takes for archer to reload his arrow.
and damage wise, i think you're somwhere around archer
-
idea is bullshit, because even with mw regular xbow+ mw steel bolts you need like 2-4 shots today, more like 3, with so much agi you are fast ofc, but you still will be easy target for cav and other ranged.
-
I faced a triple xbow guy once. He shot 3 bolts into my shield, then I chased him for the rest of the round. I couldn't catch him, but he didn't have enough time to reload either.
Maybe it works against other players, but I'll gladly waste my entire round just to keep someone with a troll build from trolling my teammates.

Even 11 athletics is not enough to kite with xbow. :)
Don't really think this build can be somehow effective.

Can't understand.
Are you saying 11 athletics ISN'T enough or it IS enough?
-
Hah, sorry, wrong letter.
Sure, I meant it is NOT :D
-
If you want to kite with a crossbow, ride a horse.

Former pure HC here.

Personally I would do this instead:
MW Arbalest
Crossbow (MW if you have it)
MW Steel Bolts (if you can)
Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)
Strength: 15
Agility: 27
Skills to attributes: 14
Athletics: 9
Weapon Master: 8
Crossbow: 173
You lose a little speed but you get much more stopping power. Really 8 athletics is enough to run away from most people in light armor and kite fairly well, but if you're going trolly, I'd take the bigger gun, personally. You can even sometimes oneshot an archer, if Armagan favors you and the sun is shining.

I've got a PTSD crippled Vietnam vet alt, SGT_JOE_CHARLIEEVERYWHERE. The build is similar: Xbow infantry, though mine's an xbow/thrower hybrid (for grenades, you see).
Don't bother with using two xbows. It's easier and faster to just reload one quickly than lug two around. The damage from light xbow is meh, but it's annoying, and its pierce, which means you rarely glance. It can be fun to hide behind your infantry's melee line and shoot into melee via first person, aiming at heads.
