You have a lot to say about Strategus although you have no idea about basic settings. Join Trollacens

I actually +1'd your OP cuz I don't know either and would like to know which purpose the Night Time has.

Gonna ask Tuete later today if I can and in case nobody answered, I'll let you know.

AFAIK, it makes it so that attacks against you will not create battles during that time - they get pushed further, so they happen outside of your night time.

Night Time:

Lets say you are attacked at 12 GMT, and your night time is from 11GMT to 17:GMT, then the battle gets pushed BACK from 12 GMT all the way to 17 GMT.

Or in other words, night time is the point in which if you are attacked during, all attackes are DELAYED until your night time is over.

So the night time given in Strat is always GMT?

I ask, because to me it's confusingly phrased.  Mine is set to: "Night time starts at 2300 GMT-5"  I've always taken this to mean 2300 local time if I'm in the GMT-5 time zone.

Yes and No. The server uses GMT time for everything, but YOU set YOUR clock to be on GMT -5 hence why it says that. But the standard server time is based on GMT and we just modify it for our time zone so we know when it's going down.(look at battle list, if you don't set it, the battles are all reported in GMT until you set your offset.)

SO yes 23:00 GMT-5 is Local time. but the server uses it's GMT equivalent for working it out.(3:00)

Set it for whatever you don't want to be fighting on eastern time.(you most likely won't be fighting EU's so it should be fine as NA will be your primary enemy if you're East Coast)

Mine is set for 1:00 GMT-5 for 8 Hours. So that no one can attack me when I can't make it my time.
