Should it be possible to surrender in certain cases ?
Surrender for a player, that sees the inevitable loss and dont want to fight. (obviously loosing all multiplyer even if his team wins against all odds)
Vote surrender for a team maybe ?
-
Well, surrendering can be used as a way to avoid the "i fucking died" statistic, and thusly may unfairly pad one's KD. Get out there and fucking die for your team!
-
Not for the full team, would be trollpolling all the time.
As for individuals might be usefull..
If all living players in a team have surrendered you will lose. (ofc if your teammates do win though you surrendered you lose your mp anyway)
-
Okay, let's add it.
If you surrender you die, lose 1 kill as it's like suicide and gain 1 death and pay 50 gold (for upkeep, surrender tax). Little gold sink. :P

I am not entirely sure you understand the point of surrender...

Yeah, if you surrender you should have a 10% chance to lose an heirloomed item and a 20% chance to lose 50,000 gold.

YES~!~
But only iff (that's a welsh if) the mechnic is totally ripped off from NW where you throw your weapons on the ground and your toon launches it's arms skyward and yells "I SURRENDER!"
That would be sweet :D
Also you could add surrenders to your stats board and have them also cause 9000 deaths to be added as well. That however would be completely pointless because in my grand vision surendering does nothing other than causing you to throw your arms in the air and run away.
In addition to that it would be awesome if punching once your arms where in the air caused you to windmill your arms around Bart Simpson style.
Anyone who says no to this has no sense of style or humor.
Nothing is funnier in NW than a line of people hurling there guns to the ground throwing there arms in the air and running like madmen the other way :D

I believe you should be able to surrender and beg the enemy for mercy, but they should be granted the chance to perform a humiliating and brutal execution upon you!
-
No, no executions this isn't WoTR. But it would be good if you could grind your junk against the side of there head and laugh manically or fart on there face, or poo drop onto their chest.

Then why the hell would anyone surrender? it be better to go spec and rejoin your team then.
-
Never tell me the odds.
-
bump?
-
a surrender option that lets the enemy survivors pole about your life. you can either get the "valor" mechanic if they let you surrender, or they get 50 quid for your head.
and a bonus humiliation for you if they dont accept :D

I'm not sure if you understand my post though.

Surrender should only become available similar to the flags - if noone dies for a while and there's less than, say, 10% left.
-
You should not be rewarded for surrendering.
Because if you do, that will make more players trying to just stay alive until the end.
However, if you don't get rewarded in some way, I don't see much reason to add it.
So, add a score requirement per round to be able to surrender and give a small reward if the enemy accepts.
But big enough reward than you would get from killing another 1-3 people (or atleast I would just try to keep on fighting to death).
In the end, it's only a matter of fun and it's not fun for those who are dead to wait for someone to die...
Also, the surrender option should only become available if you are heavily outnumbered with only a few teamates alive.
