The walls cant be destroyed by catapult fire...so either remove them, or fix them...but otherwise it's a huge advantage for someone who controls a wood castle because you can't light it on fire, and you can't damage it with a catapult.
Maybe make torches actually useful and burn shit down? I'm guessing fire/burning is asking more than the engine can handle?
-
Nah the other wooden castles can be destroyed, it's just that we had God protecting us from you dirty invaders  GOD WILLS IT!

lol don't hijack our saying!!! Back to the point though, no wooden castles can be damaged by catapult fire. We spent a couple hours in fallen/hre's server testing it out before we attacked radoghir (sp?) castle. None of the walls on that castle produced the pink text that is the normal result of hitting a wall w/ catapult. Even the palisade of that castle was invulnerable to catapult fire. When strat is wiped, there seriously needs to be some sort of fix to this. Alburg castle for example is freakin ridiculous considering the settings of the place. If anything, a wooden castle should have walls with less hitpoints than a stone castle would. I know realism is not our biggest goal in this game, but to say that a wooden castle could stand up to anywhere near the same level of fire as a stone one is a bit excessive.

Earth mounds are invincible, bro. :)
-
Maybe it is a stone castle with wood over it for extra protection from catapults.
-
that's ridiculously stupid bro

So is a seige tower on a hill at a 60 degree angle or ATTACKERS retreating and expecting the DEFENDERS to attack the remaining troops.
-
well the siege tower(s) was pretty funny i thought. What is stupid, and I think everyone can agree on this, is mass suicide. You didn't wanna come out, we didn't wanna kill ourselves. You're stupid, we're stupid, we're all stupid!
-
bring lots of ashigaru and samurai, those mofos dont need ladders, they just climb that shit (its true! ive seen it hundreds of times in shogun2!)
-
I didn't even realize wooden castles were invulnerable to catapults until that siege. Lol.
I now want wooden armor. It must be godly.

There is already a discussion going on in the scene makers sub forum.
I'm working on it and I think a bunch of better scene makers than I are working on it as well. Hopefully the maps will be ready to roll by the time S4 comes out.
We are also talking about fixing every castle map so it has a gate that can be opened.

More like a kingdom of heaven saying that we took. They didnt mention the knights hospitaller in the movie, but a few of the characters in it wore black with a white Maltese cross.

Umm, hospitaller wore black with white cross ? Not red with white cross. Did you missed it ?

The Hospitallers and the Knights Templar, formed in 1119,[4] became the most powerful Christian groups in the area. The order came to distinguish itself in battle with the Muslims, its soldiers wearing a black surcoat with a white cross. The Order's practice of acting first and legislating later is epitomised by the fact that it was not until 1248 that the pope, Innocent IV (1243–54), approved a standard military dress for the Hospitallers to be worn in battle. Instead of a closed cape over their armor (which restricted their movements) they should wear a red surcoat with a white cross emblazoned on it.[5]
