After going over all the fiefs in strat (castles and cities) I see a common issue with castles. Many have no way out, they are impossible castle devoid of reality.
Some maps are also broken, made up of objects that can not be effected by catapults.
So... who feels like banging out a few fixes?
I've been working on a pretty hard core gate system (basically the Warwick castle gates), I just wish I had blender skills so I could make the objects I really want for it :(
So I might by able to re-produce it at a few fiefs.
What you lot think? The city project was a pretty good success, lots of improvements made there.

Sounds interesting, I always had bad luck with castles ... hard to place ladders, almost impossible for a siege tower and very hard for a catapult ..

As a community project, this would work. It would take a lot of time tho. I had this idea about "scenic locations", hand crafted maps on interesting locations (bridges, coastline, and so on), but the amount of time that would take is staggering.. Castles are certainly more doable.

There are a lot more castles than towns, but then we have more active mappers these days too.
Sounds like a great idea, I'll help when its time to get started. :)

Doing a couple alterations and fixes to current maps is easier than making maps from scratch, so yeah could work.

Not really, considering how retardly build some maps are.
I'd definitely apply for a castle or two if such a project actually started.

Yeah my thinking is only replace the truely stuffed ones like Radoghir Castle and just add real gate systems to the rest.
I would like to work on those scenic locations though Jacko that could be fun.
