on duel server and ranking:
There should be a gear limit on the duel server.
If I remember it correctly, at the maxlevel20 server the max worth of your total gear is 15.000.
Why there isnt such a thing on duel server?
When a one-hander wants to hide behind heavy armor, okay, but a heavy armor glaive/ long hafted blade/ greatsword-11athletics-perma-backpedaller is just ridiculous and another type of exploiting fail balance. In my opinion the guy with the shorter weapon should get some extra points, or maybe totally separate between 1h, ranged and polelarm/2h and make three separate rankings (for 1h, for ranged, and for noobery =2h/polearms)
Also, I would like some 'rules', like
- Is it allowed to pick up another weapon (or shield) from the ground?
(I remember once it was bannable when you offered a duel with melee weapon and then switched to ranged)
but what about starting a duel with an axe to break the opponents shield easier/ faster, and when the shield is out of the way, use your favorite sword. Is this okay or considered cheating?

Or you know, you could not duel people who have playstyles you don't like.

Whenever I see a guy on duel server dueling me with tincan armour , I search for or spawn with an steel pick and spam the shit outof them.

Back in my day, the duel server was there so we could wear whatever we wanted for fun and test out new things, or see how effective we were wearing some combinations...
I am 100% against any and all gear limits.

Great thread
Putting limits on a server, which people use to try out stuff. Just no.
Would also be dumb when people cant duel in the gear they loomed or got used to. Since u have to adapt when u have more/less weight.

I -'ed Michael's post before I even read through it. Turns out that was the right thing to do.

Hello Michael, I admire your strong will.
But you really ought to use that seemingly bottomless energy to self-assessment rather than trying to be "helpful".
