Why you should not overestimate yourself

This is the story about one man, who died a long time ago but his problem is actual. Nobody remembers neither his name nor his worthless life.

Difficult to say now but he was probably an orphan, because nobody saw his relatives. He was always alone, nobody could say a single word to him. People used to say that he was a very strange person. He was perfecting his sword every day from the early years of his life.

His dream was to become the greatest and the most respected warrior in the village. That dream was easy to become true, villagers were poor fighters and he could beat them easily. After a little tournament in that small village, where the he had achieved a flawless victory, he started to insult and scoff at villagers. He thought that he was a god of battle, modern Hermes and invincible warrior.

He was young and his blood was hot. He never stopped to say that he's better than everyone in that village. And one day he has lost his respect for good and all, because people were tired of his offensive behaviour. They didn't care about his fighting skills, that was a peaceful village, where the respect could be earned only being a good humble man.
Days, months, years passed and the arrogant villager didn't feel the respect of the people but he didn't stop mocking them. They refused to help him, so he was forced to work hard to maintain his useless existence. He decided to revenge them. One day he has broken a wheel on peasant's chariot.

The last straw of villagers' patience was the day when he threw a dust in their dinner.

After some years of tyranny and offence villagers made a try to kick him from the village, but he proved that he was a better fighter than they. That day made his arrogance being as big as never before, even though he was pretty old that days. He wore his armour and went to King's army stronghold.

He shouted with offence that he's the best warrior in the whole mainland and he will beat their best warrior. Nobody has answered him, but he kept insulting King's warriors, saying that they're cowards and too weak for him. He looked shamefully and foolishly, like a naughty kid. And then the gate was opened by somebody. It was a knight with big scars on his face, that fellow looked like an experienced warrior. Our arrogant hero didn't stop shouting about his mighty hands and powerful hits, but that shiny warrior was calm and silent. Unknown shiny knight pulled out his sword, while his enemy wore a helmet with unstoppable bad words. With saying all that words, he was sure that he can beat everyone and a shiny knight was just an easy enemy, even worse than a dummy.
A lot of people came to watch that duel and in a few seconds after it has started a shiny knight has knocked the sword out of arrogant's hands and poked him in his chest. Arrogant fell on the ground and kept lying, while shiny knight turned around and went back to the stronghold. That was an easy victory for the knight and a great shame for unknown squirt, who was lying on the dirty ground. Villagers came back to their houses, nobody helped a wounded loser. He has found powers to stand up. He came back to the village with a big bleeding wound...
He was knocking at the doors, but nobody opened them to help him.

He used his last powers to wear off his armor and after a few seconds he died. Gone forever in disrespect and obscurity...

P.S. This is essay is devoted to IG_Saint, who has won a duel with me with score 6-5. It was a bet, that a loser gets essay-ban. I was overestimating myself and this is my essay.
