Title: New Forum Moderators needed

Please apply if you have the maturity, intelligence, cool-headedness and charme to be a forum mod. Tasks would be checking reported posts, deleting inappropiate stuff, moving threads to the right board, waring / banning troublemakers, and just general posing. No pay, but the chicks dig it.

For all the others, you can give your support or lack of with +1 and -1.

Maybe I should mention that I actually have quite some experience:
I was global-mod and GM at a private L2 server for 18 months with an active playerbase around 2.5k people during its prime. Lots of Greeks and Brasilians... everybody who has been mod somewhere else knows what that means  :wink:

   This is probably one of the most excruciating and mind blower tasks there is for some, and will require a whole new way of being/doing and a lot of free time (which sadly I still have). I know the toll it takes on people, from examples like a clan mate.
   But as I said several times, if I can help this community in any way, I will try, if you think I'm fit.
   I already have the privilege of helping cmp on his beta client, and would love to help in any other way.

I think I would do the job. What fits me most of the jobs you've listed, is intelligence and charm I throw at everyone around.
The sad thing is that you've not listed modesty, because this is one of my personal feature.

And if you'd like a serious-mature and all this post, here it goes.
There is a lot of Poles on the forums and In Game, so choosing me means a representative of Polish part of community.
My English may not be as fluent as the British people have and use, but I find it really enaugh for most of the speaking I do.
I play c-rpg alot, I browse the forums. You could call me consistent, my friends would agree. Name the thing to be done. I will do my best to accomplish it. My time spent on c-rpg is about 1200 hours, but when the updates came, the time played stopped counting.
I'm open to other people, and trying to tell some intelligent things to those trolling and hating.

However, I guess it's not a competition for the longest post, but I thought that it'd be nice if you'd know something more about me.

I am a level headed person.

I haven't abused my powers.

I don't shit post all over the forums.

I think I would make a good forum moderator as I keep my cool really well and am mature.  I don't post stupid stuff on the forums but still spend entirely too much time on the forum.  I have moderated several forums before and have the intelligence to know what to do.  I would also really like to help the mod in anyway possible to keep it going.

If I become forum moderator I will do anything in my power (which is of course shit compared to nord 3rd reich regime on this boards) to unban banos on forum and delete all momo's and tod's posts.

I spend enough of my life on the forums to warrant applying I think  :)

I have been called a forum secretary in the past.
1. Maturity: I just finished uni and...and...and have a real job now! For 3 months.
2. Intelligence: I can read and write and have a degree! I know, shocker right?
3. Cool headedness. Well now that I can't necessarily claim I have but I do try and I believe I'm a lot better with posts than I was 1 1/2 years ago with my pro-HA pre-nerf arguing.

Do you want a funny forum moderator (who still does his job) or a super serious one? Well I could give it a try if you want me to. I'm pretty active in forums and I've done some epic deputy detective action many times before and helped Meow by reporting stuff to him in irc ;).

- I think people like my posts mostly.
- I argue sometimes but I try to keep it constructive, not destructive.
- You may also remember that I provided the forum users a script couple months back to hide all Boxxy images :D.

I would like to apply for the forum moderator position on behalf of the Mighty Panos. He is currently unable to post his own application for reasons that are of no significance to his application.

Maturity - Extremely mature. He has shown this in his dealings within the community time after time over the past years.

Intelligence - Highly intelligent, You can check his posting history. You can see all of his posts are well thought out and written to an extremely high standard. You can almost feel the presence of his intellect oozing out of your monitor when you read these works of art.

Cool-Headedness - Incredibly Cool-headed. He is always calm and collected and his posts on this forum are highly rational. In the extremely rare situations where he has been confronted or met with aggression he has always reacted passively and attempted to diffuse the situation. When this method has failed him he falls back upon the rules of the forum and always ensures the correct course of action is taken.

Charm - This man is a legend. He is adored by all of the C-RPG community and has close connections with the english, German, Turkish and eastern European communities. He is highly empathetic and knows how to meet the needs of our extremely diverse community. Beyond this he is a regular poster and is already well known and respected.

I would also like to add that Panos speaks several languages fluently and would be able to help out with translation.

I would like to vouch for Panos and would encourage anyone else who feels this way to post in this thread, I am sure there are many of you. This is the man for the job and he is most deserving of this prestigious position within our community. To give it to anyone else would not just be an insult to Panos but to the entire community.

Well I've only really flipped out on just one person on the forums ever really, so here is my application. Not only am I submitting this because of genuine curiosity of seeing who would + or - this, but also because I have a genuine interest in being a forum moderator.

In the past few moderator actions for these forums (mainly just the NA ban/unban that I had control over) I did a pretty good job of moving old threads to the resolved section (did over 20 pages in one day when no one else wanted to) as well as do a good job of splicing out off-topic comments and reminding people of what or what not to do.

My favorite color is purple  :lol:

I could moderate your forums in my spare time. I was an admin for a while before I resigned due to it making me enjoy the game less. I have been around warband since it first went into beta, I've never been banned or muted. All of my posts are witty and loved. As I have played Warband for a long time, and cRPG as well, I feel like helping out.

I am also hoping the ladies will flock and swoon over my internet authority.

I believe I am mature enough to qualify. (My age is 20)
I am intelligent enough to write my own application rather than copy and paste previous applications.
I have great self-control and value fairness and consideration of others.
As for charm, well...my clan has a total of five female members. That has to count for something. A lot of them appreciate an environment away from all the profanities, trolling, and immaturity you might find in more popular clans' teamspeaks.

I am currently an admin for NA_Community_1 and NA_Public (if it is ever put back online).

I am on these forums all the time, so I would be able to moderate at almost any time of the day. I have moderated several TeamSpeaks previously and also several forums. I have never gotten any complaints of immaturity from any of these, so I believe that proves I'm not an adult child or dumb kiddie. I also admin'ed on NA Public when it was still active, so theres that. I've played cRPG for a year and a half now as well, so I know the ropes!

I am also volunteered to be a moderator. I am following this mod since its beginning and community knows me quite well about me being modest and fair. I have no idea about how my charm is effective on forums but I am mature and objective enough to make fair judgements.

And also as a side note, I find it totally unfair to shut down Turkish sub forum just because of a couple of immature, hormone induced adolescents and a couple of trolls. You are removing the rights of %90 of turkish forum users because of the %10 trash of it generates. That is why I am also ready to take serious measures to clean up turkish sub-forums as well as what other moderator responsibilities come along.

I have played this mod since the start, and im obviously still playing. I have been a forum moderator on many other forums, and i enjoy doing so.
Im currently in my 3rd year of university, that should cover the intelligence and maturity requirement for a big part. And of course common sense is present here.

Been a part of the community for almost 2 years now and I love everything about it. This has to be one of the more unique gaming communities I've been involved in.

Maturity - 21 year old full time college student and working part time. I respect all nationalities, religions, and people for who they are. My boss says I'm the best worker she's ever had. I'd take a good guess that I'm pretty mature.
Intelligence - Does a 3.65GPA account for anything?
Cool-headedness It takes A LOT to get me even a little frustrated, I'm very calm.
Charme to be a forum mod - Just pretend that I have enough  :wink:.

Well, I play the mod since 1st strategus and keep playing. Half of the community hates me proably, and other half's half doesnt like me. I think, the reason is stability of my line about judging people. If I accept the forum rules(I do), I always punish who breaks the rules. I did this for my clan and for justice in my history. And I am someone who is not liked by some people who had been punished by me about clan things. Well, if you are looking for a rigid moderator who is not effected by anyone, I am here.

As a current NA admin I feel I would fit right in as a forum mod.   I am frequently on the board throughout the night and most mornings and would have plenty of time to watch over the reported posts.  I already have experience with our moderating system as a NA admin and having control over the NA ban/unban request forums.  While I have my detractors as an NA Admin, I always go with what is fair and right even if it doesn't make everyone happy.

I feel I would be an appropriate fit right into a global moderator position.

I hate injustice. I will begin with that. Right should be right and wrongs should be dealt with as justly and as swiftly as possible. I may be one of the most notorious people on here, but I have a good sense of right and wrong. This is also why I sometimes put my nose where it doesn't belong and input on ban threads, but the truth is that I only do this to make it easier for admins to make a judgement. I offer my perspective as an outsider and more often than not, it is better to be an outsider when doing so.

Obviously, I'm not stupid and know I won't be picked, but I saw an opportunity to share some stuff about me.

Anyway, go ahead and blast me with minus. :wink:

if you seek for an active forum member who can clean the corruption out of turkish sub-forum, here i am. counter trolling is my speciality, and be sure, i'll be the right enforcer to bring order on those fail troll kids. i've been lurking on internet since 1995, i'm quite used to deal with any kind of people. irl, i'm 25 years old, working as an engineer and a safety co-expert for a factory with over 500 workers, can easily control the masses of brainless workers and fairly enforce the rules without hesitating. i know i've been quite annoying for long time on this forum just for lulz, but be sure that i'm the best medicine of the chaos over turkish sub-forum.

my promises for the turkish sub-forum moderation

-no more inappropriate image posters
-no more excessive offenders
-no more irl exposers
-no more adult content & homo & homophobic images
-no more report spams by 13 year old kids
-no more spam topics
-fair moderation and mutings
-cooperation with other moderators
-10 times check per day
-daily irc reports about serious incidents

well, i'm in full support of removal of the turkish-subforum, but if you guys decide to keep it running, i'm nominating myself for its moderation to terminate the rotten kebabs from the premises.

In my opinion, I did a fair job while moderator/admin of the NA servers/ban forum, and I always have the forums/irc up every time I'm on my computer.

Eu folks already should know me, I've been an admin for almost 2 years. If you give me moderator rights I'll occasionally see how things are going on the forums. I would pull the same policy as I do ingame, I'll only intervene if it's needed instead of sticking my nose everywhere.

I would be willing to moderate these boards because it seems as though I'm almost always around when serious breaches of the forum code of conduct are happening.

I've been an admin on NA pretty much since we had official servers here (and for a while before that on the "other" servers), and I am very capable of respecting and following through with whatever protocols I'm required to adhere to.
