Anyone want a game of Crusader kings 2? So far I have 3 and I would be looking for a 10 man game. Just post your steam account and ill contact you for further details.

Rules are different for this session: All players need to signal 'ready' when time is to be in unpause status. Normal speed set at 2 arrows, can be 1 deciding on whether the majority are in a crisis. However not only must you signal 'ready' but also come to a date agreement with your fellow players on when the next 'pause' will take place.

How long does a multiplayer game last? Is this vs or crusade for the holy lands kind of thing? I know single player games take forever.

If you decide to play we won't complete a game in 1 session, the majority of players have spent thousands of hours on this game and have not been able to complete a single game which lasts for approx 400 years.

It's El Capitan Planet, i've only played as dukes or lower. Regardless.... I find this game fun in many other ways. Being secluded in Iceland I have yet been able to finish the game, but I do find myself using the +5 speed quite often, since i am not a threat and Norway is busy, therefore I am secluded, and able to make more money than I know what to with regarding technology wise.

Either way the game is fun, especially being keen on inbreeding! I will only be able to play it on Lan, through Himachi, so that may be a big wrench in the dealjobber.

If you use ck2+ I am in. I ain't playing vanilla.

If you do use ck2+, probably going in as a Byzantine duke or a HRE duke/count.

Also El Capitan Planet? The only person i've managed to find with that is someone who proudly boasts they've killed you on some game. lol.

It took me 40 hours to conquer just Spain and North Africa. I haven't played multiplayer and all yet. I know one session isn't going to be anywhere near completed but I was wondering what we are trying to do.

Are we going to be versus each other, all in one faction, or European factions trying to take the holy land?

Well if I do play as iceland, it will be 100 years before I even want to leave my island :). I'll go mess around as other factions. I'd rather work together, since most of my game time has been neutral/building up my own stuff.

I had the misfortune of a mixture of certain events happen while playing the asoif mod...

Faction leader joins tournament, cool! He experiences a lot of camaraderie and turns homosexual. Two months later, faction HEIR joins a tournament and gets the same thing. One month later I get the "option" (no other choice really) to go to my faction heir's room for a "tumble." I haven't played CK2 since.

Got it! It does not influence the gameplay in a major way, though i havn't explored all the options yet - only picked up the +3 Stewardship and +3 Diplomacy so far. ( EDIT: You have a total of 10 different options )
 
From time to time, i get related events - like sorting out disputes between vassals, or getting an unusual temporary trait through an event. It does add to the immersion, although the amount of content is incomparable to, let's say, Rajas of India.
 
I have all the dlc's and facepacks, so it was a worthy addition to an overall experience, but if you missed Charlemagne or Rajas of India - imo it would be a much wiser investment.

I'm gonna start up a new save, think I'm gonna be a count in the HRE and rise to power. I'm gonna leave my scandinavian repbublic save off for now

I own all of mainland Scandinavia, Norway, Denmark and Sweden and most of Finland plus what you can see on the map. Don't want to deal with the pagans anymore so I became a Crusader Doge. Started as Fairhair in old gods start date, conquer most of norway, prepare invasion on wessex, win invasion. Finish claiming Norway and form kingdom after more money from raiding. Put Christian women into concubinage and then divorce current wife and may christian. Become Christian and convert self and son via event. Guy then dies since I unpause to stablize before becoming republic. As son stabalize realm and form republic. Begin Conquest of rest of scandinavia. I startHoly Waring in Sweden and Danmark until they just convert to Christianity. Then Holy War The russian pagans until I own Finland and just Form Scandinavia. Asturias is practically dead at this point and Aquitaine is trying to push back the Umyads. Fabricate Claim on Santiago and take then begin Holy Waring Umyad constantly. Brittany is the last bastion of Norse Paganism and a thorn in my side by raiding my new capital Duchy of Essex pretty constantly so I destroy them. As I finish expelling all muslims out of Spain and pushing into North Africa a crusade is finally called on Jerusalem. Send 50k troops in and crush the Muslims army and begin besieging. Win war and then I'm just too bored to keep playing at this point.

What should I play next? I'm thinking a count in the HRE.

I was playing denmark and conquered all scandaniva then england and half of france. They added the new DLC and it broke my save game.

As when every American gets fixated with Scandinavia, I get a very bitter taste in my mouth.

I chose to do an easy tribal nation so I could reform to a republic. Honestly I find England or Germany or Italy or Spain more interesting areas to play, which is why I went there instead after forming a republic and getting an Empire. Also forgot to mention the best part of my game, the battle of the Three Popes.
