I want a game where the general world of the game is constantly warred over by real players, and the gameplay is MOBA style or 3rd person shooter/skill shots or whatever.

Never heard of such a thing.

Now that you have thought of and voiced the idea, I give it 9 months at the most until we see something like this.

APB: Reloaded Cops vs Robbers 3rd person shooter in real time multiplayer world. Tune your cars, drive around with your buddies, equip and create a custom character. Levels and weapons help a little, skill counts and death is fast just like in Warband. A very grindy game, but funz at first 100 hours. Also its a game by "Gamersfirst" which means there are some hackers around.

PS: If there are any robbers, whod like to rolll around, give meh a PM, Havent played it in a while, but I still got my descentass char and I feel the need for action.

DayZ somewhat... considering it's alpha... not that far from what you want.

DayZ runs pretty badly on my laptop on lowest settings. I'm sure it would be fun but the framerate is horrendous. Last time I tried to install APB it didn't work, I thought it was spec related but I would have thought ARMA 2 was more spec intensive than APB.

Both games you've mentioned are VERY POORLY OPTIMIZED. It's not even funny.

On another note, there's this game called Soldner which feels like an arcadey 3rd person ARMA/Operation Flashpoint scale shooter that runs just fine, and still has a surviving community. I really like it because of the scale of the matches, and I can see that with a lot of people it would be more fun. I'd probably enjoy Planetside 2 if I could run it.
