some shields have strange stats. even if they cost more.. for example the heavy norman shields have worse stats than the heavy heater or heavy kite shield, but cost more.. could you please fix them? and what has the dark blue done to you lol ? why 479 and not 480? thanks P:

Olwen.
Btw. last gen had 5 shield skill and those knightly shields aren't good at all. Elite cav shield is great, so are plate round shield and huscarl. Board shields and those norman shields are good as well.

Buff low tier shields, they are useless currently. Even against low tier weapons.
-
some of the shields are not priced properly for their stats. Look at heavy kite shield and heavy heater shield.
Heavy kite is better is every way, but costs less. Heavy heater has ONE more width. Width is nice, but 1 point doesn't mean anything in the real world...yet it costs more.
This is an example. There is no purpose in using the heavy heater shield.
Low tier shields are ok in my book. If you have 1 or 2 shield skill, you're gonna get a shield that can block some arrows and take a couple melee hits. If you take 3 skill you can get decent shields....same with any equipment...low tier items kind of suck! :)

Yes, but low tier shields suck against low tier weapons. That's the problem.

Nordic shield is not bad against low tier weapons (requirement 2).
But, you are right. If someone uses a low tier weapon (like a simple sword) with 8 powerstrike, it will mess up low tier shields. However, if you use a weapon like that with 4 PS, at like level 15 when people normally use such equipment, it will last a while.
Keep in mind however that once you get 3 shield skill you can get shields that are just as tough as the "good" tier 4 shields. Brown lion and Kite Shield are sweet.

The knightly heater shield is a bad shield? It's THE best shield that's 1 slot. Having more HP is nice, but the most important thing is the body armor. With 4 shield skill I never have issues with people shooting under/around the shield if I'm facing them.

I think the Best shields are:
Knightly kite (best fast shield)
Kite Shield (best balanced shield)
Heavy Kite Shield (best 2 slot shield)
Plate covered round (best 1 slot durability shield)
Steel shield (best durability shield)

Kite is the best shield.
But I use elite cav cause its the only good conic shield, Cept huscarl. (Style thing)
Were not even considering tier 2(round shield is only barely good tier 2)
What I'm getting at is in the early strat battles, shielders get shafted. It would be nice if they decreased shield costs overall.

knightly kite is a good shield, I still think the knightly heater is better (slightly wider but shorter, and 2 more armor/resistance). Elite cav is my 2nd favorite shield, but it's hard to see around the roundness of the shield playing first person from horseback.
