It has come to my attention that a colorblind friend of mine cannot easily the banners in the game, and I was wondering if someone with free time could possibly throw together a colorblind banner pack. If possible it could be an option in the game to switch all the custom banners too, but I highly doubt this will get that kind of support.

how in the hell do you make a colorblind banner pack
-
A banner pack without green or red at all or is it enough to for example change a red green banner to a blue green banner?
I'm assuming you're talking about red-green colour blindness.
-
I'm not really sure how that would help? Normally you don't need to see the banners itself.
Maybe this would help him: http://forum.meleegaming.com/general-discussion/i-just-found-some-screens/
They just need to change the border colors to something that colorblind can differentiate.

Unfortunately that would make it worse unless the colors on the rings were changed, cause he sees red and green as almost the same.
On a separate note, the issue arises when he sees banners with grass as a background, as he sees the green grass and red banners as almost the same color.

Not all colourblind people see exactly the same things.
I know a guy who had green and yellows mixed up or something, some people have different colours.
-
blue and yellow, most likely.
I'm not at home atm, but I'll be home on wednesday. I might change all the red and green banner backgrounds to something else if that's enough.

I'm not colorblind and even I sometimes have problems seeing some of the banners. Esp. blue/green ones against a green background.

Maybe you could make both colors customizable? So everyone could change them to a color of his likes.

Eh. I'm not coder. I can just do simple picture editing and what you suggest would require some level of coding or larger amounts of picture editing.
-
Ah ok, I misunderstood it then. But if it's a picture only it can be changed on client side if one likes it.
-
Yeah, I figured I'd just release a slightly modified banner pack, so it's more red-green colourblind friendly.
-
How bout making a thicker and bolder some psychadellic color ring around the border of the banner holders. That way don't need to change any banners.
Or remove banners above heads alltogether and replace with a giant solid dot color. (Isn't this an option in options)
You can still dawn your banner with heraldic items.
-
Solid white circles with writing above them with the name of the clan. That would do it.
-
What frank the tank said. Adding a white (and then possibly, black inside for those snow maps) circle would solve every colorblind person's problem. 100% would download.

Sounds like your friend has it worse than me. I can see banners alright but I have an awful time seeing the metal bits of weapons when it's foggy and sometimes when it's dark.
