Hey, I am trying out various builds on skip the fun alts for when they implement retiring bonuses at level 32.
I tried 1H for the first time in like 8 months and I actually enjoy it quite a bit. I am currently rocking this build for level 30;
Level: 30
Strength: 21
Agility: 18
Skill to attr: 8
Ironflash: 4
Power Strike: 7
Shield: 6
Athletics: 6
One Handed: 111
using cRPG NewGen calc (http://alpha-lider19.ru/MB)
I really like this build because it lets me get hits in on plate users while keeping me fast. It also makes it so my shield rarely breaks.
However, I would like to add a cav aspect to the build as well for when I get bored of running around on foot. I would like to keep the athletics and the power strike where it is but other things could be moved around. The build will be for level 31 and I would like it to have a little bit of growth at 32 such as a bit more ironflesh or what not.
I would like to be able to have at least five riding to use a destrier, more is fine as long as it doesn't harm the build overall.
I am also looking for advice on shields and weapons to use. I am currently running with the Huscarl and an Elite Scimitar and like the feel on both. I do not like weapons with a stab as they often whif and get me killed.
Thanks.

If you're building for 31+ with no plans to upgrade to 24/18 or 21/21 they what I'd recommend is to at level 30, take 1 point out of shield (this way you could still use 5 skill shields on foot), all 4 points out of Ironflesh and put them in riding which would leave you with the desired 5 for the Destrier, then convert skills @ 31 and 32 to add back into shield/Ironflesh.
Knightly Heater Shield is one of the best smaller shields out there, and Niuwedao (sic) is a pretty awesome curved weapon for damage though it's somewhat lacking in length.

This is my opinion on what you should do for a lvl 31 build
Level: 31
Strength: 21
Agility: 18
Skill to attr: 6
Ironflesh: 2
Power Strike: 7
Shield: 5
Athletics: 6
Riding: 6
One Handed: 111
Your shield is going to be a little more fragile but nothing major. You probably don't need IF as much if you have loomed armour, but you could always add more IF and shield when you get to level 32.
I suppose if you don't want/need 6 riding you could always put a point back into shields.
For weapons/shield...... i would suggest having the elite scimitar along with a millitary pick or steel pick for use against plate. As for a shield I would use something lighter like the heavy round shield or elite cav shield, unless you are dead set on using the huscarl shield.

Both suggestions were good. I think I am going to do the following;
Level: 30 31 32
Strength: 21 21 21
Agility: 18 18 18
Attr to skill: 0 1 2
Skill to attr: 8 8 8
Ironflash: 0 2 4
Power Strike: 7 7 7
Shield: 5 6 6
Athletics: 6 6 6
Riding: 5 5 6
One Handed: 111 111 111

I will try the Niuwedao out for a bit as well as both the Heavy Round and the Elite Cavalry. Right now the Elite Cav sounds best if I were to loom a shield as I can use it on horseback.
I don't know how heavy of armor I will be going, I am thinking of doing a Heraldic Mail with Surcoat and a Kettle Helm of some sort.

That's a solid build man. Elite Cavalry Shield is kind of underwhelming at base values, but looming it really makes it shine. Also my personal favorite shield in terms of visual appeal.

whoever invented 21/18 build should burn in hell. 0 or 2 if is so bad idea, that i am seeing that right now when i am lvl 30.
You die in every armor after 2 hits, and in light armor you are still slow, and i don't see any difference between 5 and 6 athl. it is biggest shit ever.
But i see difference between 0 if and 7 if.
make 21/15 or 24/15 those builds are awsome,i tried it and it rocks, and get urself as long as possible sword because with short swords you will not hit anything.

this is the only build worth making. You can instead of wm give that points to riding if you want,i don't realy notice any difference between 111 and 148 points.
Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)
Strength: 21
Agility: 15
Skills to attributes: 2
Ironflesh: 7
Power Strike: 7
Shield: 5
Athletics: 5
Weapon Master: 5
One Handed: 148
