Maybe for javelins, throwing lances and jarids but arrows can't go through in body like that

Lol since it was about arrows i instantly read NERF arrows, trowing weapons hit animation...

But no, it doesn't look realistic.

What exactly is not realistic? If the jarid goes to bambooland, when you're getting shot by one; is it realistic?

Arrows going through a horseskull?

Trowing a javelin goes through a leg a horse body and leg again? :P (one of the pics shows that)

Trowing lance going 40cm through a shield?
If you hold your shield up and get something trown or shot in it, it will look as if its in your body. Which is bad cause it wont damage you if it hits your shield, but does penetrate your body.

It's great but when you throw something to steel shield it wouldn't look so great as things like throwing spears should not be able to penetrate steel shield ;p

If you survive it, it looks really dumb running around with a spear through your skull. On the other side the current animations aren't any better where the tip barely touches your body. The spear/arrow tip should go some cm into the body, but not go completely through it.
