Title: New Slot

I thought about adding capes as a new slot.

This would mean that we have  the "Head-Slot","Body-Slot,... etc and now also a "Cape-Slot"
Those Capes should give you like 5 Body armor and be able to buy in different colours , like normal colours (Red;White;Black...) or maybe also like the cape of the byrnia

Adding another slot is probably nigh impossible to code. Wearing capes over armor doesn't work without clipping errors in any mod I've seen.

I'd like the cape to only protect you from attacks from behind.

It would be possible, but ugly as hell with all the clipping. We currently don't have the computing power to have a cloak which flows yet doesn't go through your body. Wait another 5 years.

Well it would be hard to implement for every armor I'd be to dumb for it  but we've good devs

Dont see a reason why this should be added, makes not much sense.

also the archon's armor has a cape, it's not "flowing" or anything but it's still a cape

If it is worn with a light armor then it looks pretty good but it doesn't fit it with a mail but I don't use a mail so what :D

I would say make it a status item.

Like you can spend a loompoint to make a regular cape (the normal colours like blue red white and such), with minimal stats, and maybe 2 loompoints for a noblemans cape (like purple with gold and fur and such rich ppl stuff).

Only to show off wealth, not giving much of an advantage in stats.

Would look really ugly since if I remember correctly those were made for original mount and blade. Other than that I think it's good to go but time consuming to make

Great idea if two conditions are met:

-at least 2 hitboxes per body part (front corpus, back corpus, head, arm, leg are body parts)
-physical cloth simulation

Nope. A good animator can make the cape flow(preferably with a long loop with different patterns) without clipping.

If you look at Narf's new helmets with the neck coifs you'll notice how the mail coif adapts to the upper body's movement. Looks really sublime. :)

Trick is to find someone who can rig a good cape model, or make the cape as well as rigging it.

Don't even need to code anything but the extra slot.

Wont there be a problem with the different body armors? For example the following armors, wont you have things sticking through? (like some helmets atm have bears that go straight through  em)
