Title: 1 hand no shield build

I've been thinking about making one of these characters for a while but I'm torn between 2 builds.  Which one should I choose?  I'm open to any other suggestions as well.

I was 21/18 half sword archer rusher, while using the Espada (stab pierce reliant weapon) and it wasn't as effective with 6 Athletics, you can do a lot more footwork with 7 athletics particularly being able to stab, back away to dodge and then stab again...if you aim well, its usually 1-2 hit kills (to face).  With 7 athletics, you would also be able to wear slightly heavier armor while still being fast.

And you really don't need anywhere past 125WPF...I was only 114 or something like that with 0 points in WPM

I was planing to wear light/medium armor anyway to focus on speed.

24/18 is my aim, and I just went dedicated 1h without shield.

At lvl 33:

6 IF
8 PS
6 ATH
6 WM

As a 1 hander without shield you are relatively fast, because of the short length and low weight of the weapon. But also because weapons in the 1h class slow you down less than a weapon with the same weight in the 2h class. This is to not make shielders too slow, but as you do not have a shield you are just faster.

That is why I use a 24/15 build, I'm faster with 5 athlethics as a 1h no shield than with 6 athlethics as a 2h. The 8 ps is nice, I mostly drop people with 3-5 hits. That said, I am going for a 24/18 build on level 32.

You do not need that much WM, I get called an agi whore regularly and people wonder about my wpf. If you properly turn in your swings you are really fast with lower WM. I have 4, which gives me 139 wpf.

This is my build:

Strength: 24
Agility: 15

Hit points: 69

Ironflesh: 5
Powerstrike: 8
Athletics: 5
Weapon Master: 4

Ofcourse the difference between 21/18 and 24/18 is not at all enormous, but I really do discourage 18/21, it does not pack enough of a punch. With this build I am quite resilient, I have good damage and decent speed. I think this build is actually with 1 point to spare because I aimed it at lvl 32, so you can get 1 more IF or WM.

At lvl 32 I'll get 24/18, with 1 more athlethics. At 33 I'll max IF and have 75 hp, lol.

Oh, forgot to add. 1h without shield is fucking shit and should only be played by classy people, or those that hope to one day reach classiness (Read Bjord).

Seriously though, it's like a longsworder with shit damage but a lot more class.

i must warn you one thing.
If you play on eu1 you should maybie put 1 or 2 points in shield just in case,because server is infeasted with ranged.
I am building now 21/18 with shield points,but i will try it a little without shield to play just not to forget how to block.
In siedge it should be fine,but on eu1 i am little concerned about this.

One more thing 130wpf should be just fine,no need to waiste points on that. Better get that 2-3 points from wm to shield.

I'd go 3 wm and the leftover points in IF

Next gen on my 1h/shielder I will go with this build:

24/15

73 hitpoints

7 IF
8 PS
5 ATH
3 WM

130 1h

130 is enough, imo, and just stacking the IF for some lovely hitpoints.

Maybe i'll buy an iron war axe & a military cleaver otherwise i'll just use my italian.  :)
