horsekick - I mean a horse should be able to perform a kick with its hooves
When footmen can kick-stagger an opponent - smoke a cigarette - and slash-kill the opponent,
why horses cant?
Imagine, your horse gets stopped by some polearm-guy, and doesnt die (I know, doesnt happen very often, but once in a while), another guy attacks your horse from behind,
you press e, and your horse gets its legs up and knocks that sneaky bastard down, that would be cool and realistic as well.
-
Well timed ctrl J kicks would be funny for like the first day but please don't add it because it would get really irratating.
-
An interesting idea. It would make ganging the stopped horseman a little more risky. Maybe even to the point of being overpowered, though.
-
While it does make sense, my concern with it is game balance.
-
Yep, let's bump someone down, while he is on the ground I'll kick him to death. Sounds too easy.
-
Brave attempt! Usually people bite your head off if you suggest giving cav a boost!

Horses can't because they can bump infantry all around them by just pressing W from a full stop. I suggest we make it so that when infantry go forward, they bump everyone in their way and high athletics agi characters can knock everyone down.

Because a high ath human being is comparable to 100's of pounds of solid horse muscle moving at speed.
-
I'm all for this. Horses kill more people with kicks than humans do with kicks. Totally realistic.

Hey guys, we've got a master at reading comprehension over here.
Have you ever heard of the word Sarcasm? You probably should read on it and then do a dissertation on which part of my sentence was sarcastic.
I'll grade you on it, I'm expecting it within a fortnight.
-
I'd be for this if they added collision damage and some temporary speed/maneuverability nerf for a few seconds after the horse went from a full run to a stop.

"The distinctive quality of sarcasm is present in the spoken word and manifested chiefly by vocal intonation"
I fully expect your dissertation on 'Why is it moronic to use sarcasm in the written word?'.

I like this idea. Press e on horseback and your horse kicks backwards, knocking the poor bastard behind you down.
-
If it instakills the horse after use, then it'll be fine. :P

Suicide bomb horses?
-
I smell Arabian Warhelicopter kick-abooze here. Ride towards enemy - stop - turn around 10 times per sec - kick - (optional for HA - shoot bastard on the ground) - repeat.
Hmmm sounds nice, do it! I'm goin back to cav
-
I wouldnt mind horsearchers taking some risk by kicking someone :)
A kick like this is a big risk, and all inf has to do is not get behind the horse :P
+ realisitic, me like :)
Try and get an animation for it!

So you are suggesting that a rider in real life can make his horse kick? Without him being bolted to the saddle in order to not fall off..?
Must be a circus horse then..
No, good sir. :)
-
But a rider could make a facekick with his own leg... that would work
-
No. Maybe realisitc even tough i doubt you can command a horse to kick in battle like that.
Shit happens, mistakes too but good cav dont stupidly crash into mobs. And even if you do, i see so many horses that after being stabeed in the face just drive off again or a magic shield absorbing all incoming hits to the legs.
And now you want that the only moment where infantry has the upper hand on cav because of their own mistake, to get away by just pressing a button?
No, just no, if you make poor decisions, you pay the consequence. Is there anyway to make the difference in between a good and bad cav now? (sigh good old lancing pre nerf days...)
Oh and come to think about it, it's not realistic at all, we stab your horse in the face, we slash it's legs, no way that horse is bucking. not like if were trying to capture you alive off your horse, crpg infantry are just madmen on rampage that will kill anything that breathes, and that horse is the first thing going down.
ah also, did you read that thread where chadz is talking about making horses less like go carts?....you should

yeah, add fucking rocket pods, gattling cannons, countermeasures and ejection seats to all cavalry.
bundle of sticks idea
