Title: New Skill distributing system, less limitation, more specialization. yay.

every item should be usable by anyone,  but with great penalties.

I say get rid of riding, shield skill,  pd,  throwing,  if and whatever,  and introduce item proficiency.
Suggestion 1)
requirements for items will than only be strength,  and every item will have a proficiency level,  from what point on its stats work 100%.  Having more or less itemprof. will accordingly nerf or buff these stats.

This,  of course,  needs way too much balancing and probably cant be implemented.


So my second suggestion (2) is to keep everything as it is,  however let everyone use any item,  but when not meeting the skill req.,  having huge stat nerfs. 

0 shieldskill with 6 skill shield= one can hold it,  but it has only 5 speed or so.

I kinda like the idea that you can pick up anything (realistic).

BUT
The reason why I don't want to nerf ranged (mainly archers) anymore is cause I realized they're pretty much the only ones who keep 2hs getting op (reason why I say only 2hs cuz there's no way how polearms can be/become op atm/with these settings). Yes they're annoying as fuck, mostly cause of their ability to run away pretty much from everything but still. So this is the reason why I don't want to see 2hs getting shields from the ground.

but imagine :  the archer could jump onto the next horse and run kite and bump the twohander : )

I just think it would up gaming experience by a lot...

also,  shields forcefiled would be practically non existing,  because of having no shield skill,  so you could shoot his feet or head.

Oh yeah I totally forgot the horses XD  No no no, they're too fast already XD  and 2h can easily take down riders without lance.

Well if the archer has slots, then it'd maybe even work.

All in all this has pros n cons, IMO there're too many cons though =/

From a realistic point of view it makes sense to be able to use anything.
I also believe it would make the game more fun. Good idea.

However it's quite a big change to make so I suggest to make it as a temporary sub mod.
If it's successful we can implement it in crpg later on and scrap the sub mod.

This was never a problem. Skill requirements/strength requirements are fine as is.

Yeah, the penelty needs to be quite big for horses.
