Title: Strategus spawn rape

As we noticed again today spawn raping in strategus is still happening.

The enemy will stay at the flags and kill the spawners without pulling down the flags (for example the siege today Union vs castle).
Around 200 tickets went down without the defenders being able to change spawns.

How about we make a "main flag". A flag centered on a good spot of the castle (on/ in front of the keep). Then there should be a button on your equipment-screen that says "reset spawn". Like that you can change your spawn back to the keep and prevent spawnraping. (unless they get to that flag and spawnrape, but that means they took the keep and thus deserve to win).

I'd say we really need this, since today we saw again that spawnraping is happening, even with admins (and higher company as the shazbot) present, so we need something to prevent it, not punish it.

Problem is, its quite impossible to take down the flags if ppl are spawning every second. That is often a problem, for example taking over a gatehouse as lots of people set their spawn there.

I agree though.

If one side gets spawnraped and cant change spawn, and the other side cant put the flag down its hard to blaim the attackers for spawnraping.

All the more reason for a main flag :) Preventing spawnrape is better then punishing it.

I don't get why there are spawn atop the walls anyway. The defender spawns should be focused in a small area, same as the attackers. Would also fix suicide spawns from spawning at a flag on a wall that's destroyed.

Spawns are on the walls because you should defend those. If they were in the middle of the castle defenders would have to walk to the wall every time, taking a lot of time. Attackers could make a forward base on the other side of the wall and just flood the wall.

If the wall is destroyed you simply pick an other flag  as a spawn point. Here this main spawn point is also of use, since you can prevent damage from spawning on a broken wall.

I don't think most people want to "spawn rape" because that's troops and money and gear they would be able to capture that is being wasted.

Might take a lot of coding, but nice option.

Im not talking about the last flag here, im talkign about spawn raping in strategus while a lot of flags are still up.

We were holding the top of a keep today with most guys, but some guys were stuck in a spawnrape on the walls. We had a ncie stand there, but 200 tickets got wasted by spawnrape.

It think it could be interesting if there was a bigass flag in the center of the the castle that worked like a much slower version of siege flags work, like the fastest it could go from fully up to captured would be 2 or 3 minutes.   Then if some message could be given to the defenders every 15 seconds or so (Your Castle Keep is Under Attack!) to prevent a small group of ninjas taking it.

Small flags are spawn flags, big flag is capture flag?

Ye but the idea was you being able to reset your spawn to the big flag so you wont get spawnraped.

Capturing would be impossible if you are able to spawn there though...
