I have suggested this in several posts before but I think it deserves a thread on it's own.
The problem:
You see less when you carry a banner. It's in the way and decreases your vision which is really annoying.
Unless you play in first person of course but I know very few players do.
The solution:
If you carry the banner it should be invisible to you but not to others.
The one carrying the banner will have an icon in the HUD displaying the banner.
I believe this will increase teamplay as it will increase the carrying of banners.

I don't see why not. It is annoying having it blocking over your line of sight (especially as a ranged player).

I like the idea. The problem is that you won't know if placing the banner on yourself worked as the banner system is a little dodgy on itself.
If possible, the banner could become really tiny for your vision, so it wouldn't obstruct your view, but you could see that you actually have it on.
Edit: Oh, HUD icon works too.

fukken lazy asses, play in 1st person = solve the problem..

And lose awareness of what's going on around you? Not really something a good commander would opt for.

I'm bumping this. Please vote yes if you want this implemented.
With enough votes the devs might consider it.

I actually like the banners the way they are. In the press and confusion of battle it can sometimes be hard to tell friend from foe. I like the madness and confusion comes with it when arises during those times. :) Makes it fun.
